I've eaten a lot of mapo tofu and this was the best I think I've ever had - such amazing szechuan pepper flavor. Would go back just for that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the little yogurt drinks they offered at the end of the meal were a hit. Would definitely go back and would definitely get the mapo tofu.Vegetarian options: Honestly, if you don't like szechuan style food this probably isn't the restaurant for you. If you do and you're a vegetarian you're probably very familiar with mapo tofu. If that's the case then you won't be disappointed. There are at least a couple more menu items that are/can be veggie but the mapo tofu alone will make it worth a trip.Parking: Across from a home depot = a big parking lot”

“Went here on a cold February night. The place was lively when I walked in, employees were friendly. They were signs explaining the lack of siracha which I appreciated. I ordered a variety to taste including the dumpling soup, turnip cake, beef rice noodle rolls, Cantonese beef meatballs, noodles, and egg tarts. Everything was fairly priced considering it was dim sum and my order came out to about 50 dollars. My order came out quickly and all the food tasted excellent. The dumplings were tender, chewy, and soft. The meat was well flavored and soft. The turnip cake was my favorite, it was perfectly savory. The egg tarts were flaky and not too sweet. My only complaint is lack of seating options, however, overall I could not recommend it more.”

So that tells you both restaurants are more expensive than their worth. The pechuga marinera was okay but was not an outstanding dish, locking freshness and flavor, the calamari felt very chewy and the chicken was very bland. Chicken cutlet was crispy and thin, sandwich had bacon, lettuce, tomato, American cheese, red onion and ranch dressing. The lettuce, tomato and onion were sliced perfect (thin). I don't like thick pieces of onion and tomato! And the iceberg lettuce was shredded. Bread was also delicious. Sandwich was a fair price for it's size. “I work in Hackensack and am something of a hot chocolate addict. I've bought my favorite beverage at many establishments but find Cafe Mannina has the secret to making it wonderful every time. And for only two bucks, compared with a mediocre cup I got recently at a high-end place for $5.50. They have tons of gluten free options, I am unsure if the gf pizza is made in a separate prep area. Would love to know.”

“I came here for the first time last night. I’ve been to the other restaurants with the same name I have to say I think the atmosphere here is better it’s bigger and it’s just more comfortable. The waitress was nice and speak much English but she knew what I wanted. I ordered the combo with ramen soup & teriyaki chicken. It came with white rice.. I was very hungry so I ate everything. I love the broth of the soup. It’s very delicious. It was cold last night so this really hit the spot. They have plenty of parking and Plenty of seats. I highly recommend this restaurant for Ramen..Parking: there are a lot of parking spots. No problem to get a spot here.”

“I was back in my hometown for a short trip and wanted to work remote from a cafe. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled across Marimba Cafe - the new name caught my eye and the aesthetics and offerings here solidified my decision. I don't think I've ever come across a sit down Latin cafe here in Bergen County so to me, since moving away, it's the first of its kind. Also first of its kind to proudly offer CBD infused menu items. I believe they just opened in November! The vibes in here are immaculate. My favorite feature is the stone floor - it just transports you somewhere new! The color scheme in here is also appealing, and the Latin music made me want to dance while I took on meetings haha. Overall, really solid branding and concept. Since I was working west coast hours, I spent the whole afternoon into close here. It's a really great place to work as there were other people working remote. They have comfortable seating and outlets conveniently located along the booth. I will say though that the booth seating was just a tad too high for the table so it took some time getting used to. Also, they do play the music fairly loud (a must) in here so it can be a tad distracting if you're taking meetings and have to speak. Since I stayed here for over 5 hours, I was able to observe the sense of community Marimba has fostered - they greet customers like friends! I also saw on their Instagram that they host community events like paint nights and dance nights and support other local businesses with their La Placita Sundays. I love everything this business is about. I ordered the coquito latte hot and a pan de bono. The latte was solid and I wish the pan de bono was just a bit bigger! I would love to try more here. Congrats to the owners of Marimba, I wish the cafe tons of business and success! I definitely want to visit again when I'm back in town.”
