“I've had the chicken wings and strips and both were delicious! Got them with the sweet and spicy sauce, can't remember what it was called and couldn't pronounce it even when I was looking at it. The chicken was super crispy and glazed with the sweet and spicy sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Could have been a bit more spicy but still awesome. The fried rice was a bit lacking. Got the kimchi and pork belly variety. The kimchi was not the spicy kind I am accustomed to from other Korean restaurants I've been to. It kinda just tasted like pickled cabbage, which is effectively sauerkraut. And their were only a couple cubes of pork belly. Would definitely not order it again. Not worth the money. Will definitely go be going back for the chicken and lots of other items I am curious about!“

We also had the fried cauliflower, saag burrata side and duck for main dish. For dessert we ordered silvana, which is so delicate with many layers of flavors: airy meringue, coffee cream, pistachios.

“We came on a Thursday right before the 4th. We were immediately seated and noticed the place was a little warm. Not a big deal because it is one of the hottest days this summer. It's almost 100. We got the High Mixed appetizer and the chicken pad Thai. The sampler was good. Spring rolls were good and the dumplings were good. Couldn't do the crab for seafood allergy but the fourth item, we didn't like. It was the texture and didn't have the flavor I was expecting based on the presentation. Service was ok. They had a little bit of a crowd and got them out of there promptly. The pad Thai was really good. It had the perfect amount of flavor and it was light. We needed it to be light because it is hot outside and we still have a lot of walking to do. Overall, it was good. That last item on the High Mixed can go.“

“After a day of sightseeing in NYC, we decided to check out Hoboken for a quick bite. Found this place that looked pretty cheery inside. We ordered two chef bowls, bulgogi and the beef bowl. The beef was juicy, but a bit overcooked for my taste, but the rest of the bowl was very tasty! The Bulgogi bowl was outstanding! Meat was flavorful, but not overpowering like what bulgogi usually tends to be. Staff was very kind and inviting!“

“The whole watermelon soju is a must-try, super refreshing, ice-cold, and zero harsh alcohol taste. The raw beef was melt-in-your-mouth fresh, the spicy pig trotters were collagen-packed and sticky-good, and the soy milk cold noodles were the ultimate cool-down.“

I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl and was able to build it exactly the way I wanted. The tuna was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. “Fillmore Deli and Backroom is a pretty solid neighborhood spot with a surprising mix of options. The Korean fried chicken is actually really good crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. They also have a large variety of sandwiches, so there’s something for whatever mood you’re in.

One thing that always throws me off though is they tend to run out of the tuna pretty often, which is strange for a deli. But besides that, everything else seems to be okay. It’s a reliable place to grab a quick bite and the food usually hits the spot.“
