“Had the Rainbow Roll (which had vegan BBQ char siu, tuna, and shrimp), the Peking Duck Bao, and the Ube crème brûlée. All were really great - the Ube crème brûlée was probably the most surpising and interesting. Portions were still pretty big despite these being small plates though! Had a wonderful time tonight. Came in and got a myself a couple plates. Each meal was full of flavor and well done and well prepared. The waitress I had the pleasure of taking care of me was amazing.

I had the Quail and the Pig Out (for two). Except no way in hell am I sharing that with anyone lol. I ate that for myself!!!

I will say the pig out was such a cool and different kind of take on food. It’s one of those plates. You’ll probably always remember. I have dine at James beer award, winning new restaurants, and all sorts of Michelin rated and starred restaurants. The pig out is a meal I will always remember. And to me that says something.

And this is what the pig out is all about and worth the hype in my opinion …

The Pig Out. Chef Chen takes whole Berkshire pork bellies and cures them in thyme, ginger and salt for five hours before confiting them in duck fat for 15 hours. He then shreds the meat and lays it out on a sheet of pig skin, pressing it down and allowing it to cool. This create a terrine of sorts, with the gelatin in the meat binding everything. Once cooled, the pork is sliced into two inch diamonds and heated in a pan, rendering the skin shatteringly crisp. The pork is served with an arugula salad dotted with persimmons (the fruit changes seasonally) and candied walnuts, peanut noodles, a ginger scallion sauce, and a squeeze bottle of sambal. Chen recommends putting a little of the last two on each each piece of pork to achieve the “perfect bite.”

“This place is beautiful awesome playlist. I went on a Sunday and there was plenty of parking but I am sure it would be more difficult on a weekday until after 6pm when street parking becomes available. The burger and fries very solid, the el mensajero drink was excellent, I had some toast with ricotta, honey and almonds that was really good as well. It wasnt very crowded but the space is awesome I would like to go back on one of their event days. Overall good experience will come back for sure.“

“This is a 2nd floor Japanese-Thai speakeasy in Alphabet City where the food menu leans toward Japan while the drinks are Thai-inspired with the menu designed by veteran NYC bartender and Phetchaboon native Sayparn. Her and her partners opened 11 Tigers in 2022 (year of the tiger which symbolizes success). The staff do an excellent job of mixing food and entertainment.“

“Finally had the opportunity to come to this place. I would like to start off with the service. When we arrived it was packed which we were not surprised. The lady at the front was very friendly. But our server not so much, i get people have off days but we did not feel welcomed. We ordered ceviche, white rice and beans & the chicharron de pollo. As someone that loves ceviche this was not the greatest ceviche i have ever had. The apples and celery threw me off but the reason why it was not great is because the juice had that seafood tate rather than the lime zesty taste. The rice and beans were amazing!! Perfect texture and taste. The chicharron de pollo is the best chicharron i have ever had. My husband and I literally locked eyes on the first bite. It was juicy and had the perfect crunch and taste. “I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“We came on a Thursday right before the 4th. We were immediately seated and noticed the place was a little warm. Not a big deal because it is one of the hottest days this summer. It's almost 100. We got the High Mixed appetizer and the chicken pad Thai. The sampler was good. Spring rolls were good and the dumplings were good. Couldn't do the crab for seafood allergy but the fourth item, we didn't like. It was the texture and didn't have the flavor I was expecting based on the presentation. Service was ok. They had a little bit of a crowd and got them out of there promptly. The pad Thai was really good. It had the perfect amount of flavor and it was light. We needed it to be light because it is hot outside and we still have a lot of walking to do. Overall, it was good. That last item on the High Mixed can go.“

“This was the coolest and most unique dining experience I’ve ever had. It was also the most expensive I’ve ever done, but by the end I was convinced it was worth every penny and they could be charging a lot more and it’d still be worth it.

I went for my partners birthday and two others were celebrating their birthday and the dessert course (which was insane how good it was) had a candle and they brought little cocktails to everyone and we all cheered to the birthday people by name.

We got the alcohol beverage pairing which I highly recommend. First cocktail is shown here and then a few more of the glasses.

Service was impeccable and genuine. Especially Kiyomi (guessing on spelling), her warmth and kind banter put us at ease and we were talking about her all night.
