Spring Cafe Reviews
Sensational!! For folks craving bao buns but not the meat -- this vegan shop that just opened up in Chinatown NYC is the place to be. Don't let the size scare you away. The place is spotless and the food is prepared to order.
I found them by accident, but will be returning intentionally in the very near future.

This place is fantastic! One of the best meals I’ve eaten in NYC so far. I took the vegan chicken bento box. The tofu puffs, the “fried chicken” the rice and its topping, the soup… everything was delicious!
It’s a small place and we went before noon so it wasn’t crowded. Idk how it is at peak hour.
The staff working there were also very kind and welcoming. Thank you!

Perfect for vegan Chinese food - lovely bento box, great mushroom fries, really enjoyed it!

Spring Cafe is a charming restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is personable and creates a pleasant experience for guests. The menu features delicious dishes, including the popular Braised Tofu Skin Bao Bun and other favorites like the Zhajiang Noodle Salad, Black Pepper Mushroom Bao Bun, and Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with grilled chik'n. Guests praise the tasty and perfectly spicy food. The sweet and spicy tofu burger is a standout option, known for its delicious flavor and large portion size. The bao buns are bigger than average and can be paired with fries or hot soup. The restaurant is clean, fresh, and yummy, with a great vibe and good people-watching opportunities. It is also kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, making it a great spot for all. The limited space is cleverly used to create maximum comfort, and the food tastes as fresh as it looks colorful, making it a satisfying choice for any meal.
