“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

Crispy veggie dumplings don’t really deliver well but they were still good.

“I came from California for a visit with my brother and just before 11:00 p.m. we decided we wanted Chinese food. we were pleasantly surprised when we got back to the hotel room and the food was amazing authentic Chinese was simply Delicious. One of my favorite parts was getting to practice a little Thai that I’ve picked up from watching Thai series. It was such a fun moment, and the staff were so sweet and encouraging. It made the visit feel even more special.

“Had the Rainbow Roll (which had vegan BBQ char siu, tuna, and shrimp), the Peking Duck Bao, and the Ube crème brûlée. All were really great - the Ube crème brûlée was probably the most surpising and interesting. Portions were still pretty big despite these being small plates though! “This is a 2nd floor Japanese-Thai speakeasy in Alphabet City where the food menu leans toward Japan while the drinks are Thai-inspired with the menu designed by veteran NYC bartender and Phetchaboon native Sayparn. Her and her partners opened 11 Tigers in 2022 (year of the tiger which symbolizes success). The staff do an excellent job of mixing food and entertainment.“

Had a wonderful time tonight. Came in and got a myself a couple plates. Each meal was full of flavor and well done and well prepared. The waitress I had the pleasure of taking care of me was amazing.

I had the Quail and the Pig Out (for two). Except no way in hell am I sharing that with anyone lol. I ate that for myself!!!

I will say the pig out was such a cool and different kind of take on food. It’s one of those plates. You’ll probably always remember. I have dine at James beer award, winning new restaurants, and all sorts of Michelin rated and starred restaurants. The pig out is a meal I will always remember. And to me that says something.

And this is what the pig out is all about and worth the hype in my opinion …

The Pig Out. Chef Chen takes whole Berkshire pork bellies and cures them in thyme, ginger and salt for five hours before confiting them in duck fat for 15 hours. He then shreds the meat and lays it out on a sheet of pig skin, pressing it down and allowing it to cool. This create a terrine of sorts, with the gelatin in the meat binding everything. Once cooled, the pork is sliced into two inch diamonds and heated in a pan, rendering the skin shatteringly crisp. The pork is served with an arugula salad dotted with persimmons (the fruit changes seasonally) and candied walnuts, peanut noodles, a ginger scallion sauce, and a squeeze bottle of sambal. Chen recommends putting a little of the last two on each each piece of pork to achieve the “perfect bite.”

And there you go!!! if you’re in the area absolutely worth a trip. Go enjoy. It’s worth your time.“

“This was the coolest and most unique dining experience I’ve ever had. It was also the most expensive I’ve ever done, but by the end I was convinced it was worth every penny and they could be charging a lot more and it’d still be worth it.

I went for my partners birthday and two others were celebrating their birthday and the dessert course (which was insane how good it was) had a candle and they brought little cocktails to everyone and we all cheered to the birthday people by name.

We got the alcohol beverage pairing which I highly recommend. First cocktail is shown here and then a few more of the glasses.

Service was impeccable and genuine. Especially Kiyomi (guessing on spelling), her warmth and kind banter put us at ease and we were talking about her all night.

My waitress was Sammie and she was the most attentive and sweet and helpful waitress ever !! Make sure you ask for her when you go I promise you she will give you the best experience . Other highlights for me are tuna tataki, chicken wings, asian greens, dirty rice, chili garlic noodles and short rib but I’d be shocked if anything isn’t fantastic.

“Do yourself a huge favor and order the Taichung cocktail - the taro foam on top is to DIE for creamy and tasty, and the drink itself is so refreshing and pleasant. The drink tokens for the tea-infused liquors are sooo cool and fun, we all got different kinds and shared. Super yummy. Great spot so close to Grand Central, wish I had known about it sooner! Will definitely be back! Don’t sleep on the beef noodle soup, either. The ube tart was the perfect dessert. Wow, great experience and amazing vibes. Treat yourself here 👏👏👏“

“Came last night with my husband, and the service was amazing! The person at the door and our waiter were both incredibly nice and welcoming.

Unfortunately, we were starving and ordered the tasting menu, but we had to wait quite a while before getting any food. Then, everything arrived at the same time—literally around 14 plates. The tables are tiny, so there was absolutely no way everything could fit. Thankfully, a table for five was available and they moved us there so we could actually fit all the food. Otherwise, I honestly don’t know what we would have done.

I’m not sure what the idea is behind bringing an entire tasting menu out at once. Even the proteins, which are essentially the main course, arrived together with everything else, so naturally, by the time we got to them, they were cold. I would definitely recommend pacing the tasting menu and bringing the dishes out in courses. It would make the experience so much better.

The flavors are definitely there, but I do think the tasting menu is overpriced for what you get. The only dish I really didn’t enjoy was the crepe. I also ordered an espresso martini at the end, and unfortunately, it tasted like watery coffee with alcohol.

I understand the restaurant is new and there are always things to adjust in the beginning, so I genuinely hope this review is helpful. Besides those issues, the service was wonderful, the staff was lovely, and the place itself is very cute!“

It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“
