“I was looking for a healthy but hearty meal after a long day of work and salad house hit it outta the park. It’s a newer place on Main Street I have been meaning to check out and it didn’t disappoint. I made my own salad bowl with salmon that was cooked PERFECTLY truly amazing. Everything was so flavorful I ended up not even using the dressing I picked it simply wasn’t needed in my opinion so now I have some sauce to make something at home with! It ended up being around $35+ but that’s because I got a lot of add on and honestly I don’t regret it at all. It was a treat yourself kinda tab lol. Everything was really fresh and the portions are HUGE so treat yourself to something here you won’t regret it.“

“Didn’t expect to find my best crispy pork belly of the year at a Thai spot!!! The skin was insanely crisp yet slightly chewy. The dipping sauce on the side was perfectly balanced.

For the main, we went with the panang short ribs. The beef was coated in a rich, mildly spicy curry. We added steamed veggies instead of rice and they fit curry.“

“My first visit to Salad House in Ridgewood was a great experience. I received a warm welcome from Chris, the manager. He was very courteous and polite. He took the time to explain the menu and answer my questions with great detail and enthusiasm. I ordered the Teriyaki Bowl and was very pleased; as it was very flavorful. The Falafel as well as chicken soup were very tasty! Very clean environment! The Salad House in Ridgewood will definitely be my go to place whenever I am in town!“

“I was really surprised by this place. There’s many salad places out there but this was good. Fresh veggies and a lot of chicken was well worth the price. Cookie wasn’t made fresh by them but was good as well. (Montclair NJ Location)“

“Even though the restaurant is very busy during lunch hour, they always have someone on the floor to help with questions, greet customers, and take care of messes. I appreciate when a business doesn't under-staff or cut corners. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. They also helped me find something that I lost in the restaurant, which I was very grateful for. (Shout out to the customer who found my phone and gave it to an employee, I appreciate you.) With big chain restaurants like this, the staff really makes or breaks a particular location. Staff at this location is 10/10.“

“Ordered two pizzas. Pizza crusts were spot on and tasty...overall some good pizzas. The sauce though.
A previous review mentioned the sauce was sweet but that they probably don't add sugar to their tomato sauce. I would disagree with that assumption. Half way through the pizza ... The sweetness kinda took over for me. And that's just a personal preference maybe?

Service was cold and not the friendliest.
The set up itself was decent enough and clean... They had some latin music playing which was ok.

I'm not sure I'd come back if I was in New York next. If you enjoy sweet pizza sauce you'll love this place because the crust was really good :) Just the sweetness of the sauce was not to my taste.“

“Nice Mediterranean spot, might want a reservation as it is a bit small. Excellent dessert selections and pastries. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

Seating is limited with reservations becoming necessary to guarantee a space, but honestly the space is the perfect set up for good conversation. The wine list was nicely curated—we chose the 2017 Super Tuscan, which was smooth, rich, and paired well across the meal. We began with the antipasto. The quality was immediately apparent... the prosciutto was buttery on the palate and the house pickled veggies added a bright, fresh note. For the mains, the cacio e pepe had the perfect creamy texture (I need the chef to teach me their ways for this!), well-balanced salt to black pepper, and good bite to the pasta. My husband was lucky enough to snag the final duck ragu special of the evening and (wow!) we're so glad to have done so. Perfectly cooked with tender meat and flavors that transported us right back to the osterias on the streets of Italy. We ended with the tiramisu (light and creamy) and a pistachio affogato, which did get a bit outshined. Hospitality was top notch here making this is a “must add” meal experience for your list. “This restaurant was excellent! It’s similar to Chipotle in the sense that you can build your own bowl, but with Indian dishes instead.

I ordered the mixed greens with chicken tikka masala and basmati rice, and everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The service was quick and efficient, and the food came out hot and delicious. I also tried the samosas, which were amazing.

All around solid burger. The fries were perfection - crispy and salty. Ranch was great. Our soda was very flat but that’s okay.
