One of the best restaurants that I have been to! I chose it because it was a block away from a show my friend and I were going to...and it turned out to be such an excellent experience! Our server who also welcomed people in and did a superb job of multi tasking in a very calm and professional manner as he remembered our theater time and the dinner was served in a timely manner without being rushed. Il Melograno is a consistently excellent restaurant in New York, offering homemade pasta, wonderful daily specials, and reasonably priced wine. The menu features delightful artichoke cake appetizers, basil pesto and mushroom/sausage artisanal pasta dishes, as well as a generous portion of ribeye steak with delicious potatoes. The entire experience is awesome and the food is delicious. The service is attentive and the staff is friendly. It’s a wonderful restaurant with a warm ambiance, perfect for enjoying a good Sicilian focused meal in Hell's Kitchen. The value is outstanding for the quality and the food is freshly prepared. This place is a gem and everything is phenomenal. Highly recommended are the artichoke cake, daily salad, and desserts like cestino and tiramisu. A hidden gem in NYC, it’s a short walk from the theater district, with tasty, freshly prepared food and beautiful presentation.
