“Food here is amazing. More than enough space to dine in. Christian will ask you what you want, read your order twice ask you if everything is okay… This is a family owned business and when i say family owned i mean the whole family is there, mom, dad and son Christian! Amazing ppl. Love it here ?“
“I’m new to Bergen county & this is second time I’ve ordered from here & wow amazing!! First time was jerk chicken with rice & peas & cabbage the taste was great. Today I ordered pepper steak with white rice& salad with candied yams!! Everything was great. I love this place. 10/10 recommend!! Both times I’ve ordered on Uber & food still tasted fresh and warm.“
“I usually only order out from Paul's, but the food is always good, servers are always pleasant, the place is clean. A bit pricey but still affordable. Corn bread is very good but not this last time I ordered. Overall great place to eat.“
“First, I love the low key atmosphere and the ambient light. I've noticed, as I've aged, that a lot of so-called popular restaurants are noisy and bright and the food is only OK. Hav and Mar is the opposite of that. It's a relaxing place with fantastic food- to the eye and the palate, excellent, professional service and great music. I hope it stays this way.“
“We went to celebrate my hubby birthday and it's first time he is trying seafood boil ? and it was best experienced ever, we had crab leg, shrimp, and crawfish with Cajun sauce and that was so yummy..Yanni was very attentive and instructed us nicely, she is helpful as well for us being first timer..over all, we have best celebration“
“This is our second time at this location ( we ate at a Mermaid in the East Village). Great addition to fine dining in Times Square which seems inundated with fast food and chain restaurants. We're fish lovers and Mermaid has lots of delicious options — crudo, ceviche, oysters, clams for appetizers, lots of fish and non fish entrees. We had a tuna entree that was wonderful. We plan on returning. Highly recommend.“
“BAR REVIEW ONLY. Came here recently Sunday afternoon close to their closing time but we were welcomed warmly regardless—decided to grab seats at the bar. The restaurant is nice and fancy looking, loved it!Started off with caviar—SO DELICIOUS!! We tried the Siberian Sturgeon ($75/25gr) and Classic Ostra ($95/25gr)—perfect portion for a light bite with drinks. Cocktails were great as well—highly recommend the “Caviar”tini—vodka martini with pomegranate jelly shaped to mimic caviar in the drink!Overall, service was AMAZING! Our bartender was friendly and attentive and made the best drinks!“
“We went here for Valentine's Day this year. I was up in the air about either going to Keenan's or Gallaghers for dinner. I chose Gallaghers because I saw that they had prime rib, which is my favorite. We had 7pm reservations and the restaurant was packed! We were seated quickly at a corner booth. The waiter we had was prompt and did an excellent job explaining the menu and the specials. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the prime rib and I must say it was hands down the best prime rib I ever had. It was cooked perfectly and it just melted in your mouth. It didn't need a sauce at all. When we left we were stuffed and the price of our bill was fairly reasonable. I would go here every time I visit NYC in the future.**The reason why I gave it 4 stars for the atmosphere was because seating was a little too crowded for my liking. It was also very loud and hard to hear each other talk.“
“Came here for a surprise birthday lunch. Menu: Shrimp head Shrimp Mushroom Fish with the bones (?) Snow Crab with Shiso Leaf Brussel Sprout with Seaweed(?) Scallop Snow pea & Baby Onion Flying fish Lotus Anago Tendon with miso Wasn't incredibly oily at the end of everything, I had a beer to go with my meal as a palette cleanser. Service was great, showed great attention to customers. Chefs were attentive, and notice when you want a good video shot at the whole frying process and try not to ruin your video. As a small extra birthday surprise, added a nice large strawberry with a mochi ice cream. Great experience, would love to try again someday.“
“Forte was absolutely delicious! We all loved our meals, however, there is 1 main thing to keep in mind:1. The NOISE - you literally had to scream across the table to hear anything. It was actually overstimulating and really, really made for a bad experience. We didn’t eat in the main dining room (which was 1000x louder), we ate in a little room off of it with about 6 tables and it was still so loud. Very off putting. The restaurant is massive - a bar when you first walk in, a large dining area with booths and tables and a “private room”. There was also a pizzeria too.The food was delicious and the staff were very abundant and helpful. Everyone absolutely loved their entree and everything came out piping hot.Highly recommend the Veal Martini and the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, both had sauces that were to die for.It is an expensive place to dine (especially if you are ordering cocktails), but the food is outstanding.Dress code a little fancier than casual, with most diners wearing sports coats, dresses, and even heels.Overall a really great restaurant and would go back, just hope they can put some soundproofing in!There also is valet parking because there is no street parking (free of charge), however, don’t forget to tip them a few bucks!Parking: Free valet parking but don’t forget to give them a few bucks!“
