About Nōksu

Nōksu is a fine dining restaurant known for its excellent creation and presentation. Chef DAE offers a unique culinary experience with dishes like steam fish with silkie chicken sauce and mustard green, squab, and surf clams. The food is rated highly, comparable to 2-3 stars by NYT standards. Guests have praised Nōksu as incredible, noting that every dish looks amazing and tastes even better, full of unique flavors that stand out. The entrance is fascinating, parlour style, with a password shared on the reservation day. The experience is special yet unpretentious, making it a place one will keep thinking about after leaving. The savory beignet was superlative, and many have remarked that the food feels elevated and original, weaving together Korean, French, and Japanese influences. The atmosphere features a marble wall and counter with an open kitchen, where guests enjoy watching the chefs work in a unique setting under the subway station, creating a festive vibe with 80s music. Nōksu also has a small Private Dining Room for larger groups. The service is friendly and professional, and wine pairings are well-matched with each dish, enhancing the overall amazing experience.

great food and overall experience! the location makes it really unique. the music was terrible though—definitely needs to be improved to match everything else.

Amazing. Love the flavors. Worthy of their Michelin star.
Obviously every dish can't be a favorite but I'd highlight the tuna-beet dish, the add-on (pay for more) caviar, the duck, tile fish, peekatoe crab, abalone w/ broth.
Service was on point as expected of a restaurant of this level. Love the chef coming over just to chat.
Can't fault them for the ac not working. though.

I am usually wary of fusion dining because it often tends to lack authenticity, but Nōksu completely won me over. Every dish was creative, harmonious, and full of flavor. I also loved the beverage pairing, which balanced very well with each dish! I could feel the immense care, time, and attention to detail the team puts into creating an unforgettable experience. Top-notch service and execution—I can't wait to go back!
