The best Korean cold noodle in Manhattan—and maybe all of NYC! They’re Pyongyang-style cold noodles served in a mild, delicate broth. The noodles have a high buckwheat content. I would rank them alongside some of the top-tier, authentic cold noodle houses in South Korea. A little more generous amount of garnish would be great, though.

Tried this Michelin recommended Korean restaurant in NYC K-town for the first time. It is one of the best Korean food experiences we ever had including those in Seoul. Enjoyed the variety of appetizers and main courses from their Restaurant Week menu. Every dish was crafted with care for their presentation and taste. Thanks their chefs and service team for a wonderful food experience for our family.
Went during restaurant week with 3 people. We were able to try a lot of the options. The food was really good and had a nice variety of things. The service was nice. The inside of the restaurant was very interesting. One of the best things was the galbi jim it was a upcharge. If you want the mushroom rice it counts towards two people's side but it wasnt that big which didnt make sense and what happens if only one person wants it or goes alone. Not a fan of having to force to people...read full review

Moono restaurant in New York offers delicious appetizers such as melon naengchae, kimchi geotjeori, and naengmyeon. Standout dishes include Pyongyang naengmyeon, raw meat, and dry aged branzino. The atmosphere is enjoyable, with a perfect blend of elegant ambiance and flavorful modern Korean dishes. Parking can be challenging on weekends but is manageable on weekdays. Dessert options include buckwheat ice cream. The restaurant is praised for its attentive service and is a popular spot for friends gathering or date nights. Guests recommend asking for seating on the first floor to enjoy the beautiful ceiling. The Pyongyang Cold Noodle is known for its subtle, clean flavors, with a light, slightly tangy beef broth that grows on you. Other dishes like Hoe Muchim + Kim and Mushroom Sotbap are also highly recommended, with bold and well-balanced flavors.
Recent reviews highlight the flavorful galbijjim as a standout dish, noted for its delicious taste. The beef pot was described as tender, while the bossam portion was smaller than expected. Some guests found the mung bean pancakes to be salty but crispy. The stir-fried cuttlefish was mentioned as very spicy, and the cold noodles may not be a favorite. Guests enjoyed the mushroom rice and appreciated the high food quality and nice ambiance. The dining experience at Moono is memorable, enhanced by unique flavors in every dish, making it a wonderful choice for those looking to explore traditional and modern Korean cuisine.
