“We showed up on a Monday night, unaware that they close at 8:30. But Leo totally took care of us. The steam trays out front were almost empty, but he asked us what we like, and he pulled a few delicious dishes together. Beef stew was tender and flavorful. Grilled shrimp with avocado and rice was perfect. Love that seasoning. And the fried chicken for my son was super delicious (I snuck a bite). “I was looking for a local smoothie place; Google recommended this one. I found out they also serve food. I purchased the ginger detox! SOOOOO YUMMY! Also, the service from Eulise was terrific. He was kind from when I walked in, and until the time I exited. For sure, I will come back! ❤️“
“The food is pretty good. I ordered the tres golpes. I asked for the eggs to be scrambled and they charged me extra, I thought that was greedy of them. I have a raw egg allergy, so I can’t eat eggs unless they are fully cooked. The mangu didn’t taste that fresh. Overall it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great.“
“Post gym on a hot summer evening I was really craving a nice refreshing smoothie. I decided to venture to Tropical Juice Bar and I loved it. The smoothie was divine as it had a variety of fresh fruits and oatmeal. The fresh juice did not disappoint either; definitely a well needed detox. The healthy kick needed a side of empanadas so we gave the cheese empanadas a try and boy we are glad we did. Frankly I've had a hard time finding the perfect empanada but these were so delicious. A strange combo yes but I'd definitely come back again!“

I went for my brother's birthday dinner and EVERYTHING from the ambiance to the drinks to the food was excellent. The staff was very nice also, and the management was top tier! I will definitely be back. We literally tried everything on the menu except 4 things! Oh and the dessert ....THE GOLDEN RUM CAKE AND THE BODEGA SPECIAL was EVERYTHING!!!! “This is a great place for seemingly authentic Caribbean cuisine. The atmosphere is great with great natural lighting in the day and a nice lounge atmosphere in the evening. The food is delicious and they have many classics like mofongo and patacón. The biggest problem is the time it takes to receive the food once ordered. Also I'd highly recommend a reservation if dining in.“

“Just ordered the jerk chicken flat bread which my family loves. FYI, it heats up well in a toaster oven. The staff at the Flatbush Footprints location was excellent. Believe it or not, I never ordered through Uber eats. Without hesitation, Ketnie took my cell phone and placed the pick-up order. She navigated me through the app with ease. Also, she even found a discount on Uber Eats for me. Obviously, management made a great great in hiring Ketnie!“
“Food is so good, and the people tending are so nice. Everything was made fresh for us on the spot, and it was delicious. I hate going to places and for the mofongo or tostones to feel like they have been sitting there premade, so annoying.We had a chicken chimi, a pernil mofongo, cheese empanadas, a morir soñando and another shake. The chimi was perfect, the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the bread was nice and toasty, and the rest of the fillings were perfect. The mofongo was nice and moist, they also cover it with a nice bechamel sauce and the pernil was deliciously seasoned. Going back to try the reg chimi :)Pescado frito con tostones is very popular, two dif people came in and ordered it while we were sitting there. I'll have to try it too.“
