“I've been looking forward to trying this restaurants menu items. yesterday was only the 1st, for sure. I had a shrimp po boy, perfect, packed with shrimp, just the right sauces, really good. I took home a container of their vegan lentil soup which is better than my lentil soup. that's not a small thing. beautifully balanced flavor, really delicious. I can't wait to go back and try everything else.“

“We came here to watch the Knick’s game. We sat in the outdoor area and watched the screens on the Asbury. The atmosphere was more chill and the service was really good. The food was decent (I really liked the fried pickles and fries), but the fried chicken sandwich was a miss. There was a chicken with the bone on the sandwich, which made it impossible to eat. Chicken itself was good. They had a lot of good drinks to pick from at reasonable prices.“

“The popcorn chicken was so good. I think it was my favorite dish of everything we ordered, and the potatoes were perfectly done. The pasta was good, but I didn’t go crazy about it. The shrimp toast was good, and the sauce was excellent. The mushroom bibimbap was tasty and had a kind of coconut flavor at the end.

The restaurant was very loud; I couldn’t hear what the people at my table were saying. The service was all over the place. They had a problem with the AC unit dripping, so they put a pan underneath to catch the water, but they dropped the pan all over the floor and into the kitchen. They didn’t seem to clean their hands afterward and continued serving customers.

The restaurant was very understaffed. The food is great, but the place needs to feel a little cleaner and more organized.“

“Was in Printers Alley this weekend with my parents for the first time staying in a hotel nearby and found this place really nice and chill with good food, loads of TVs for games with a big NFL game on while we were in - We sat at the bar as a lot of the tables were reserved but Thomas was so nice and took great care of us while checking in regularly with us to make sure we were okay while also giving my parents a laugh and recommendations on what to do around the city. Can't fault this bar at all and will definitely be back next time in NYC!“

“I’ve always been a fan of the Commodore so was delighted this opened up closer to me with the same menu. They make a perfect blended mint mojito, great queso, and have awesome atmosphere. There’s outdoor seating once it warms up so it’s a great place to drop by for a couple drinks and snacks! The bartenders are great and sociable and the bar has matchbooks. Don’t know what else you’d want!“

“The spicy chicken biscuit omg toooooo die for so my husband and I saw many people entering this spot plus it was our first time. We heard mac and cheese, greens, and fried chicken. So we got a bucket of mixed chicken, two sides of Mac and cheese, and some collard greens (they make them with black eyed peas and tomatoes; totally different from any kind of greens I ever had and I definitely was left craving more. “We worked with Craig and his team to cater our wedding and host our rehearsal dinner, the experience was incredible -- 10/10, no notes. Craig is a pleasure to communicate with and has a calm way while being very well versed in the catering business with many years of experience working with other local vendors in BK. He went above and beyond to help us with tableware rentals and his team set up our reception dinner perfectly. Most importantly, the food is insanely good! Salmon and chicken were cooked to perfection with the sweet spot amount of seasoning, the oxtail bolognese is insane. Having tried them all, we wholeheartedly recommend all of the Peaches locations - the fried chicken and kale salad at Hothouse, the amazing brunch at Lewis, dinner at Prime, all so great.“

“The popcorn soft serve is actually so good. I thought at first it was going to taste like pure butter, they’re is actually a nice balance of butter, salt, and a flavor that can only be described as butterscotch I suppose. They also stack this ice cream super high, so for the price you really get your money’s worth. I also got the bag of biscuits. They were buttery and tasted really homemade. I honestly ate the whole bag in a day because they were so good. The butter they came with was also really good. I can’t wait to come back here so I can try more!“

The host was pleasant, offered us cornbread and water while we waited. Our server was lack luster, she was so busy being busy she completely missed the mark at every opportunity. I ordered the cheese quesadillas, and they were simple but absolutely delicious - crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. My husband had the steak fajitas, which were cooked perfectly and served sizzling hot. We also had a draft Pacifico, and it was fresh, ice cold, and the perfect pairing with the food.

“I made a quick stop due to having time in between clients. The decorations are lovely and showcases the culture and esthetics of Brooklyn. The service was fast ( i went at 11am). The servers/waiters are nice. The food presentation kinda ruined it for me. The chicken was over fried. It looks reheated. The waffle presentation was plain and boring. There could be been a berry or two on the side. I was given a can of ginger ale. The ginger ale could have been more fancier (lol it's just ny opinion).

“Was in the area and decided to try Bobwhite Counter at the Jacx&Co food hall. It was a good experience with server Meagan A. I went for the Truffle Aioli Chicken Burger, and the hand-cut fries with the choice of the black truffle aioli dip, and a sweet tea. Very tasty and crispy. The fries were perfect and tasted good as it is fried with tallow. Gourmet quality food in a food hall in LIC. Thank you. Will visit again

Which I did on April 19th around 11.15am (lunch), my first visit for this review was on April 17th around 6.45pm (dinner)

My first visit was great as mentioned in this review.

However, my second visit wasn't that good. Not sure if the restaurant just opened for the day at 10.30am, and the food in my opinion didn't seem like it was made fresh, maybe heated up from the previous evening's batch.

The chicken in the burger didn't seem hot enough and crispy like my first visit. And the fries were soft, not tight and crispy like my first visit.

The second visit, I had the #2 Burger with the Chimichurri Aioli, and had the fries on the side with the same flavor dip of Chimichurri Aioli.

I was kinda hungry, so I ate the burger and the fries without getting a re-do. I did however give this feedback to the server Meagan A.

I would give this second visit a 3-star based on the quality of the food, which was way different from my first experience. I think maybe the kitchen cooks up a fresh batch from 3-4pm for the afternoon/night, as I saw the kitchen crew cooking around that time.

The service crew still deserves a 5-star.

I hope the management can look into this, so that I will not be disappointed in my next visit, whether for lunch or dinner.

Otherwise, I may then choose to go around dinner time as opposed to the brunch/lunch hours.

“Dishes are not consistent. My meatloaf was burned so badly they put a lot of BBQ sauce on it to cover it up. This was done despite the fact that I requested no sauce. Next time I requested one blackened whiting dish and was given fried whiting.“

“Texas Star serves really good breakfast options. I always order scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage (hot sausage, pork links, or patties). Breakfast is always served fresh and made to order. The bacon and sausage are bursting with flavor. The omelettes and sunny side up eggs are also tasty. The portions are very filling, I usually have leftovers that warm up well for the next day. The staff are consistently professional. The food tastes like it's home cooked and saves me from cooking when I'm not up to it. I highly recommend for breakfast.“

“I was in the mood for GOOD soul food last weekend. I went in my Yelp app and realized there weren't much options close to Flatbush area. I drove to Katie O Soul and liked there was a short line and DJ outside. One window opened a wonderful young lady asked if I have eaten there before and I said no.
I love the tiny sample cups and spoons because you try before you buy and know exactly what to order once you get to the cashier. The frozen pina colada was super creamy and perfect amount of sweetness. The Mac and cheese and candied yams were a perfect combo for me. The fried chicken wings were well seasoned like someone granny made it.
Be prepared to wake because I was there over 10 mins and my food was piping hot like the chicken was just fried. I will definitely be back for the customer service and food.

I also love any donations (they don't accept tips) the team claps and announce to the crowd and all proceeds provide FREE home cooked meals to people in need.“
