As a fellow Southerner hailing from East Tennessee, I take my southern comfort food extremely seriously. Nothing can hold a candle to my grandma’s food. But, oh boy, is Sweet T’s the real deal! I cannot believe how delicious it is here and especially when I’m feeling a bit homesick for comfort food. Sweet T’s is a Montclair treasure and a gift to all of us Southern transplants. I absolutely had a good time at Sweet T’s. The grits and fish were made with so much love. I loved the thickness and richness that the grits had. The catfish was super fresh and tender. The mac cheese was okay it was my least favorite dish. The homemade strawberry butter with the cornbread blew my mind away, I never had anything like it before.
