“We ordered delivery and were pleasantly surprised. The Ma Po Tofu and Eggplant in garlic were excellent. The fish fillets were great too. We found the flavors were very balanced. Nothing was overly spicy or bland either. The food was just perfect. It is so hard to find good Chinese food that is balanced and delicious and never expected to find it in Jersey City. “Went with a group of friends tonight and from the first bite to the last, we kept raving about every dish we ordered. Sooo delicious! We ordered the dry pot chicken, the hot sauce fish, the cumin lamb, chongqing pepper chicken, string beans, and eggplant. Look forward to going back again when I’m in the area! ?“
“We first tried Chengdu a couple of years back, and initially it was just a take out spot with no seating. I'm glad to see they have expanded the restaurant and now have proper seating at the restaurant. We came here again over the weekend for early dinner to satisfy those spicy food cravings. We ordered a few things off the menu, fish and chicken dry pot...everything was super delicious bustling with flavors. We really liked how the amount of heat was just right, some places make it too spicy to enjoy the food but chefs here do a great job of managing flavors and spicyness. Don't let the location and lack luster outdoors fool you, this is really nice spot. Come here and you will thank me later!“
“This place deserves a much better review! This is by far the BEST Chinese food place in Jersey City area since Jiangnan has sloped tremendously towards the South. Every dish tastes authentic and unique. The spicy dishes are consistent and harbors the unique seasoning. Love the kick on my taste buds! Keep the good working going. ????“
