Chow House on Bleecker Street is a great place for lunch and dinner. The restaurant makes the BEST General Tso’s Chicken, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the chicken stays crispy even with the sauce. Another favorite is the Chong Qing chicken, with bold flavors. The Smoked Tea Duck is crispy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The whole fish dish is amazingly tender, spicy and numbing. The pork lo mein is great, though the lo mein can be on the oily side. Lunch deals are a hidden gem, with meals coming with Hot and sour soup or egg rolls and a choice of rices. The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and cozy. Service is friendly, decent, and helpful. Prices are decent for the location, and portions are decent. The restaurant is a great find for a lunch spot and a very good find overall.
