Reviews for The Bao

We order the Shanghai Pan Fried Noodle, it was very good except that they don’t put too much meat. The sautéed string beans it’s a must, so good, if you are here you have to order it. Also the dumplings are very good. In general the food and service is great, what I didn’t like too much was that the music was so low that we could hear the music from the kitchen and the staff talking, but other than that the food was great.

This is a nice casual restaurant to hang out with friends. They don’t take reservations but you can check the waitlist on Google. This is not Shanghai cuisine as listed. Yes there is Shanghai food on the menu but over half the dishes on the menu does not originate from Shanghai. Nevertheless it was good food. Fun of flavor and not greasy. The soap dumplings is a must for sharing. The egg yolk prawns are crispy and not oily as is the Chongqing chicken and scallion pancakes. We full review
In this area often, I’m surprised I have not tried this place. It was amazing!! My husband and I were looking for a spot to grab dinner and so happy we found The Bao. By far our new favorite spot for Chinese food. Everything was so delicious!!We had the scallion pancakes, long Bao soup dumplings, Shanghai pan fried noodles, and general tso’s chicken with rice. It was all so fresh and delicious. The service was excellent as well. Very friendly, attentive staff. Overall a full review
