Hands down probably the best Chinese food in the city. I could eat here everyday.
We had a WONDERFUL time at Mala Project this week. Our server, Kyle, was extremely helpful in recommending ‘must haves’ for our appetizers, dry pot and, of course, drinks. We planned for only a quick bite to eat, but the atmosphere was so welcoming, we ordered more drinks and hung out for a while. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Best spice ever! Don’t order mild!
And everyone seems so happy to work there - hope to be there again soon when this is over.

MáLà Project is a Chinese restaurant offering tasty and authentic Sichuan cuisine in a relaxed, casual setting. The atmosphere is cozy and warm with a beautiful, minimal interior featuring a corrugated metal roof ceiling and exposed brick floor. The food is fantastic, super flavorful, bold, and truly authentic, with a range of interesting choices for both meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike. The **dry pot** is their deliciously spicy, fragrant, and mouth-numbing specialty, excellent with an extra spicy base of 24 spices. Other excellent dishes include the **dandan noodles**, legit **mapo tofu**, **marinated pickles**, **popcorn chicken**, and **mala peanuts**. The service is remarkable, friendly, and attentive. They have a great happy hour special with discounted food before 7pm. It is a wonderful restaurant and an absolutely amazing treasure.
