Xe May Sandwich Shop Reviews
Deliriously delicious shop in the East Village!
The sandwich rolls were the best I've tasted in NYC and perfectly toasted. My love and I enjoyed The Hog, a vermicelli and meat salad with the best fish sauce, and a lamb taco.
I especially was impressed with the cleanliness and food handling.
Go to "about us" to read the interesting story of the two friends/owners who we were so fortunate too meet at Wheelers in Sheepshead Bay.

Xe May Sandwich Shop is a top banh mi spot in the East Village. The crusty French bread, crispy baguettes, and house-made pickles are standout features. Popular menu items include the Lambretta with coconut curry lamb, the curry lamb banh mi, the super cub classic with pate and headcheese, and the lemon grass infused chicken sandwich. The bread is completely superior, tough like a proper short baguette, and the fillings are packed with flavor from fresh herbs. It is a quick grab-and-go place with no seating inside, better for takeout. The sandwiches are delicious and seriously delicious, but getting super spicy can overpower the flavor. They take some time to make the sandwich, but the quality is worth it. They have a punch card. It is a must try, though pricier than Saigon Vietnamese Sandwich at around $13-14.
