“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“I am gushing over the meal we had here. From amazing craft cocktails to an unforgettable dinner. Raphael, Julia, and Louis spoiled us. The cocktails were in fun glasses and were light and flavorful. The service was impeccable. We let them order for us. Octopus starter, then onto hanger steak, roasted chicken, sea bass, and the pork stew. All incredible with deep rich flavors. We had some great sides, a light salad to finish, and a lovely passion fruit desert. I can't say enough about this place.“

“I’ve eaten here two times. The ladies behind the bar are extremely friendly and attentive. The meals are tasty with generous portions. I’m not a huge fan of French fries, but these are so good and taste homemade! The salad was delicious and the garlic pork chops were excellent. My friend had grilled salmon and enjoyed it. The prices are affordable and they even have a $4 glass of house wine that they fill to the rim; you can’t beat it! My only complaint is that it is extremely warm in there. Other than that, I highly recommend.“

“I came here with my family and some friends before an Elton John concert and we had a fabulous time. My brother and I absolutely feasted on the delicious empanadas. “OMG these are unlike any other custard pastry I have ever had. It’s a full stop amazing treat. Pastry is light and flaky, not standard pie crust style. The filling is warm and creamy not solid and dense.

“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“If you like Spanish Portuguese food, this will satisfy whatever you feel like steaks to chops to fish to Mariscos 🦀. I took an order of garlic pork chops which were delicious and a great value to go for dinner later! The waiter I don't know if I'm spelling it right, Solo was terrific and attentive and he had a full bar to deal with too! I will probably go there today again!

“Teixeira bakery is my go to for fresh baked goods. The place is immaculate, workers are always on the move, courteous, and friendly. This place is very busy in the mornings, so it guarantees the food is always fresh. They open at 5am, very convenient for early workers to grab and go. Service is fast.“

The only thing is that it's so popular! That we had to wait for our table, BUT.. it only took us 7 minutes to get our table! Employees were SUPER NICE.“

“Excellent food and they use real charcoal and fire wood not propane like most other spots so you get that real authentic charcoal grill taste. They cook right there in front of you, also they have a DELICIOUS homemade hot sauce, also plenty of places to sit at too, they have a back room 👍👍 I highly recommend trying this place.“
“The food here is DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is off if you’re not Portuguese. As soon as I walk in, they make me feel like I don’t belong. They all look at you and start talking to each other in their language. I’ve NEVER felt like that before going to this bar. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. And most of the waitresses don’t speak English.“

“Good food and really good service. They are a family owned restaurant and were quite accommodating. I called thirty minutes beforehand asking if we could make a reservation for a group of about 13 people. They did so happily and served us really good food! While the chicken maybe tastes a little different than what I’ve eaten in Mozambique, the sauces are spot on! Either way, it’s still some really good stuff and way better and fresher than Nando’s. I would love to stop by again the next time I’m in New York.“
