UPDATE: It’s been about five years since my original review, and Mordi’s has definitely earned our business back. The food is still fantastic, and ordering through the app has made the busy lunch rush much easier. It’s once again a go-to for our office lunches. 🥪🔥

The Chicken Parm, Buffalo Chicken, and Crazy Cuban are some of our favorites. There can still be a wait because this place gets BUSY, but our recent experiences have been much better. Glad to have Mordi’s back in the lunch rotation!

I was torn over writing this review. I have eaten a Mordi’s a number of times since it is extremely close to my office. They are a busy place the food is always good. However they need to take a moment and work on their customer service. We recently placed a big order for our Friday lunch, when we returned to the office we realized one sandwich was missing. We immediately called the shop as we got into the car. As soon as they picked they placed us on hold for five minutes without even given us a chance to tell them why we were calling. When they returned to the phone they said they are not taking any phone orders because they were busy and hung up the phone on us again without even hearing their customer our.

When my partner entered the shop and asked who hung up on us the woman behind the counter half heartily apologized. I’m sorry with so many great lunch options in this area Mordi’s will have to treat their customers with more dignity and respect before my office gives them any of our business.“

“Left Bank is what it is supposed to be. Nothing more and definitely nothing less. \nWe were in the mood for wings and a burger and that is exactly what we got. Added chilli cheese fries and their famous Chopped Cheese.\nEven though it was very early so there wasn't many people there the staff immediately made us feel like home. They were very friendly, attentive and efficient.\nThe quality of the food was excellent. Everything properly made, simple... perfect! They don't try to disguise anything nor make it fancier than it should be. “I stopped by about an hour before closing, and even then, the employee was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I never felt rushed at all, which I really appreciated. The food was just as impressive. I got the 20pc chicken wings and the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and they were very generous with the sauce. The Cajun waffle fries were also so good, packed with flavor and definitely a must try. The only small downside was that it was a little on the salty side, but honestly, everything else was so great that it didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely will be coming back“

“My hubby and I came for an early anniversary date night. The food was delicious, the staff are so friendly, and the vibes were there! We got there for happy hour, so we definitely tried the frozen margs (whew! You don’t need any more than 2), and the grilled brioche was better than I expected. Wing were spot on and that liquid lemon pepper sauce was amazing!!!!

I grabbed a banana pudding to go that was cinnamon roll flavored and it was from another vendor, she takes Cash App or cash. It was delicious too, I can’t wait for another kid free night to come back!“

“Five before some guy who manages the restaurant was making really bad food. Since 5 months I am eating food from here and I love the biriyani and all Indian food because New management is now running the restaurant and she cooks awesome food. I would highly recommend anybody to try Daniel KTR Biryani and curry. I love it and is waiting for have the goat curry and biriyani especially.“

“Pretty Good, located right off a main highway. I stop by anytime I’m in NJ, close to the Hotel in Newark. First time, I stopped in the Owner was there and had GREAT conversation, service and customer service and gave me a military discount. The second time I stopped in, owner was not there and the service wasn’t as pleasant. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. The Caucasian clerk told me I couldn’t get a military discount because he’s not the owner. Then proceeded to talk about Burger King and other fast food chains not giving discounts. The food didn’t taste as good the second time probably because the experience was icky.“

“The owner or guy at the front was a pleasure to meet and clearly understands the benefit of eye contact and customer service. I ordered the cheese steak. The sandwich itself was juicy, flavorful and nice sized for the price. My issue is I wish they would wrap the sandwich in parchment paper cut in half and then wrap in the foil wrapper. The sandwich is juicy but sloppy and drips everywhere. If it were wrapped better you could enjoy the sandwich like a gentleman. Enjoyed overall and on another note I give this brother big respect. He employs all black men. And as one I love seeing that. Respect brother!“

“Great local deli with a great hot menu with many worthwhile options for tradesmen like myself… Although this spot is generally swamped with a mix of teenagers and people from the courts across the street it’s great to see an honorable place of business that values your patronage. I had a debit card transaction mistakenly declined to an account that was well funded so I paid quietly using another card… While leaving I noticed the initial declined transaction was pending against my account.. I politely spoke to the owner and he said let’s give it a day or so for the resolution with the banks.. He assured me it would be handled and honored.. After ~ 5 days and a weekend past before that initial declined transaction was paid.. I was unsure whether the owner 1) would remember this inconvenience & 2) whether he’d stand buy his word and provide me with a lunch I had already paid for,, As I came inside he greeted me very kindly and asked if the transaction had actually gone through as it had. He smiled and said then we will provide you lunch per gratis today.. I even offered to show him proof and he quickly dismissed it as a slight insult.. It’s a pleasure to spend my hard earned money with earnest, trustworthy and grateful ownership such as this.. I highly recommend this extremely reputable honest establishment… 👍🏽

“I HONESTLY was coming here to write a bad review because of the horrible service I received lastnight from the girl who looked HORRIBLE & gave me horrible service to match until I gained attention from from the FRYGUY who I totally misjudged at first because of the tattoo on his face silly me but he absolutely helped & made sure my order was correct up untill then I was feeling ignored but he made sure that I was being taken care of & actually smiled & wished me well while waiting i watched him help & give everyone else the same great service & also work 3 different places even cashier all while others stood at one position this review is to APPRECIATE the FRYGUY I happen to work in the restaurant field myself so I really appreciate great service he totally saved a bad review to a good one shoutout the FRYGUY :)“
