Such a neighborhood gem! A little quiet place do different from the Hoboken scene. It's a family place and made to order so service maybe slower than what we're used to but worth every extra mins (just so you plan accordingly and don't go when you're in a rush). Definitely going back. The fish cake and meat pastry apps are must try!!
This is a hidden gem! The food is delicious and Andrew provides great service. If you’re looking for a byob spot with delicious food that is reasonably priced, this is your neighborhood spot!
This may be the hidden gem of the Heights — and honestly, all of Jersey City. It’s absolutely worth the trip from Hoboken or downtown to try their food. We’ve lived in both, and Carol Ann’s Table competes with anything.

Carol Ann's Table is described as a neighborhood gem and a hidden gem, a little quiet place different from the Hoboken scene. It is a family place, and food is made to order, so service may be slower than what people are used to, but it is worth every extra minute—guests should plan accordingly and not go when in a rush. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and it is a BYOB spot. It is a restaurant from a chef who simply loves cooking, and everything is made fresh from scratch. The menu is creative and unique without trying too hard. The fish cake and meat pastry apps are must try. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the fish cakes were flavorful, delicate, and beautifully breaded. The burger was cooked perfectly—juicy and flavorful—and the Parmesan fries were incredible and worth ordering on their own. The Mahi Mahi came over a spicy tomato sauce with corn, string beans, zucchini, and other perfectly cooked vegetables. The chicken and waffles were to die for, and the Sriracha Maple Syrup gave a nice kick to the plate. The steak and the shrimp were very good. The string beans, however, were terrible. The atmosphere feels almost like being invited into someone's home for an incredible home-cooked meal, with an awesome outdoor patio perfect for kids, good music, dim lighting, and a relaxed vibe. Service is nothing but genuinely friendly people. Carol Ann's Table is completely unassuming from the outside, and it is one of the best restaurants in Jersey City.
