“I recently visited this restaurant and wanted to share how much I enjoyed the experience. The staff was warm, attentive, and delightful.

I ordered the Jalapeno Smash burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right — easily one of the better burgers I've had recently. I also got the chatpata wings which were crispy, fresh, and full of flavor too. I got the Masala Fries which were so crispy and tasty. All the dishes really stood out and made the visit memorable. Would definitely visit again.“

“Westside Shawarma is back with a vengeance. Never have I seen so much demand for a small food spot. Literal posts on the internet asking about this place. I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. Warmed it up two days later and it tasted just as good as when I got it. Great to have you guys back!“

“I stopped by about an hour before closing, and even then, the employee was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. I never felt rushed at all, which I really appreciated. The food was just as impressive. I got the 20pc chicken wings and the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and they were very generous with the sauce. The Cajun waffle fries were also so good, packed with flavor and definitely a must try. The only small downside was that it was a little on the salty side, but honestly, everything else was so great that it didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely will be coming back“

“Arguably a top 2 halal option in the Jersey City area, you can swap it from 1st or 2nd. They changed the lamb seasoning a few months ago, i did not like that but I ordered today and the lamb taste like how it originally did. 6 stars is i could give it that“

“I’ve ordered a few times from Ujala and the food is delicious. Bone in chicken biryani, chicken tikka, naan, palak goat, etc. all delicious. Great flavor! Portions are a bit smaller than I’d like, considering the pricing, but it’s worth it!“

“Very friendly place! The skinny guy working there is the best—he works incredibly hard and takes great care of everyone. He must be the owner, and if he’s not, he definitely deserves a raise, like $100 an hour! 😄

“I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have always enjoyed the food here. Their green spicy sauce is outstanding, the portion sizes are generous, and the spicy chicken rice bowl has consistently been one of my favorite meals. I appreciate the quality protein and the value they provide.

Unfortunately, my experience today was disappointing. The chicken was noticeably saltier than usual, which affected the overall flavor of the meal. I know one of the longtime employees who has always been attentive to customer feedback, but he was not there today. Otherwise, I would have shared my concerns with him directly.

That said, this is the first time I have had an issue after many years of positive experiences. I am hopeful this was just an isolated incident and look forward to returning.“

“One of the best South Indian and North Indian Cusines in New Jersey. I have been dining there since they opened. Great hospitality. excellent staff. I hosted business dinner and treated friends. Love to dine there any time of the year.“
