The first time I ate chicken and lamb over rice I ascended to become a greater life form and my credit score is now over 100. The falafel here is rumored to be made out of plutonium.“

“I ordered take out here and was happy with the food and experience. It took them 5-10 minutes to prepare my order that was quick and easy. I also thought the food was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken platter with a side of falafel and some baklava for dessert. The portion sizes were good and it was a great quick and easy meal. They do charge a service charge even when ordering take out which I thought was strange but overall it was a good experience!“

But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“

“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. “I didn’t know what I was missing - Uyghur Lagman. It is slightly different than Uzbek, but certainly authentic. The hand-pulled noodles here made all the difference, as did the kind and hospitable young woman at the counter. Wish I lived nearby so I could come here more often!“

“Honestly this is my first time having authentic Moroccan food, and the brother recommended me to have KousKous. And I chose the lamb. The KousKous was incredibly fluffy, delicate, and flavorful. My god it was amazing. The lamb was also pretty good, it was super tender and tasty. In my option though there was a bit too much veggies in the dish, but overall it was a great dish. I liked it a lot. Overall honest review I’d give this experience like a 9/10. Next time I want to try their Tagine! Insha’Allah“

“Tried DHC and honestly it did not disappoint! The chicken is tender, juicy and flavourful. The meal options are not too expensive either! It was so good we came again the next day. Also it is halal certified!

It's also worth trying their slushe drinks! So much better than the 7/11 stores.

Only negative is that there is not enough seating and it can get super busy. It is a 10/10 and would recommend.“

“TL;DR: Food good. Service good. Portion to price ratio not that good. Get the biryani!
The food was well spiced. Portions were not really shareable. The chicken dishes were especially small amounts. The chicken 65($12)and chicken tikka($18) came with 4 small pieces and 5 small pieces respectively. The laccha paratha was also not even actual laccha paratha. With the bad out the way, let’s hear the good.
The service was very good, they take care of you and your needs. The biryani was tasty and the vindaloo had some nice heat to it. All the food was tasty, I didn’t have a bad dish. I would come here again.“

The Cevapi were incredible; juicy, flavorful and the Kajmak was perfect!

There was no Cevapi left standing.

I will make it a requirement to stop here again next time I’m in town.

Other places drench everything in sauce to mask the taste of low quality meat but not here. The meat is great quality and very flavorful on its own.“

“I’ve been coming here for a long time, and this used to be one of our favorite halal carts. We would regularly drive in from Long Island with groups of friends and family, especially for the falafel, which was always outstanding.

Unfortunately, since Hamza left, I’ve noticed a significant decline in both the service and the overall quality of the food. The owner has always been friendly and seems like a genuinely good person, so I’m not sure exactly what’s changed behind the scenes, but it just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Today we came as a family, and there were three new employees working. It was pretty clear they weren’t happy to be there, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We did have a larger order, but in the past that was never an issue—we were always greeted warmly and appreciated as customers.

I’m leaving this review because I genuinely want to see this place succeed. The food and service used to be exceptional, and I hope they can get back to the standard that made so many of us loyal customers.“

“Having a meal ordered from Shah's in Inwood is like having Thanksgiving dinner with every order because the food is outstanding, consistent, fresh, and the service is excellent!! My son and I have been ordering from Shah's 2 - 3 times a week for the past 8 months because the restaurant never fails. My son orders the meat combo and I order either the falafel or fish platter. Both of us order everything: white, hot, and barbecue sauce; chick peas and black beans. In addition to the cukes and tomatoes, customers can also add olives and pickled red cabbage on their meal!! Tiebah and Thaliah are always welcoming, and always remember our names and our orders. We are never disappointed!!!“

The manager was also super friendly and welcoming. He’s great friends with my uncle and went above and beyond for us, even offering us some extra things to try. The hospitality here is truly unmatched and made the whole experience even better.

The line wasn't unreasonable, there were about 5 people ahead and I still got my food within 15 mins. Honestly, this is one of those plates of food you take a cab for.

My bro ordered the Alito fries , I tried some of the chicken - soft and tasty. We shared waffles and chicken as well. The waffles were great. The plus thing - all of it was halal! “The food at Kemo’s Kitchen was incredible—everything was extremely flavorful, and you could really taste each individual ingredient. My wife and I even agreed that we enjoyed it more than our usual Pakistani and Indian cuisine. It had so much depth and flavor without depending entirely on heavy spices to make it taste good.

The masala fries were especially delicious! We believe the waiter gave them to us as an extra after seeing our daughter, which was incredibly thoughtful and kind of the brother.
