“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. I have yet to see a BETTER or even equally nice place in NYC. 🤍 Jo baat hay. Food makes/breaks the mood.“

“Tried DHC and honestly it did not disappoint! The chicken is tender, juicy and flavourful. The meal options are not too expensive either! It was so good we came again the next day. Also it is halal certified!

It's also worth trying their slushe drinks! So much better than the 7/11 stores.

Only negative is that there is not enough seating and it can get super busy. It is a 10/10 and would recommend.“

“We stopped by this place without much research and the Stir Fried Lagman blew us away. We also got the Plow Rice and the Rice Noodles which were both yummy but the Stir Fried Lagman was TOO good! I definitely recommend checking them out when possible and I highly recommend trying the stir fried Lagman dish, you will not be disappointed!“

“My wife had been craving Tajen ever since we had it on Morocco. The food was as if we were sitting in Morocco. We ordered two soups Harir and lentil soup. I personally like Harir but lentil soup was ok. Then we ordered Lamb and fish Tajen one with rice and other with bread. Lamb Tajen was out of this world. Fish Tajen was good too. But if you don't have a big appetite, I would highly recommend skipping everything else and just have the lamb Tajen. Atmosphere was cozy and service took a bit of time because they make it fresh so be patient. Overall great experience of having Morocco food without spending thousands of dollars.“

“TL;DR: Food good. Service good. Portion to price ratio not that good. Get the biryani!
The food was well spiced. Portions were not really shareable. The chicken dishes were especially small amounts. The chicken 65($12)and chicken tikka($18) came with 4 small pieces and 5 small pieces respectively. The laccha paratha was also not even actual laccha paratha. With the bad out the way, let’s hear the good.
The service was very good, they take care of you and your needs. The biryani was tasty and the vindaloo had some nice heat to it. All the food was tasty, I didn’t have a bad dish. I would come here again.“

“Best food! My husband and I tried this place once, and from that day on, it became one of our favorite spots. We keep coming back because the food is always fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff are also very kind and welcoming.
If it's your first visit, I highly recommend trying the combo over salad with white sauce and a little red sauce. In shaa Allah, you'll love it!“

“June 26, 2022. Walked to get our order of a Lamb wrap, chicken wrap and fries. First time there and a welcome place to the neighborhood. The staff are friendly, the place is new and clean and most important the food is very good. Will return many times. Check it out.“

Other places drench everything in sauce to mask the taste of low quality meat but not here. The meat is great quality and very flavorful on its own.“

My son and I have been ordering from Shah's 2 - 3 times a week for the past 8 months because the restaurant never fails. My son orders the meat combo and I order either the falafel or fish platter. Both of us order everything: white, hot, and barbecue sauce; chick peas and black beans. In addition to the cukes and tomatoes, customers can also add olives and pickled red cabbage on their meal!! “I went with my bro to try this chicken spot and it was top. I ordered the big back burger and it crushed !! The combination of all the toppings plus the special big back sauce was so good. My bro ordered the Alito fries , I tried some of the chicken - soft and tasty. We shared waffles and chicken as well. The waffles were great. The plus thing - all of it was halal! I definitely would recommend anyone to eat here and I will be visiting again soon!“

“This has become my go to halal spot in Harlem (Across from Harlem Hospital). The variety and food is good, but the customer service is top tier! Also, you can definitely get some foods customized and not feel like it’s an issue! Harlem’s biggest chicken wraps!“

“I’ve been coming here for a long time, and this used to be one of our favorite halal carts. We would regularly drive in from Long Island with groups of friends and family, especially for the falafel, which was always outstanding.

Unfortunately, since Hamza left, I’ve noticed a significant decline in both the service and the overall quality of the food. The owner has always been friendly and seems like a genuinely good person, so I’m not sure exactly what’s changed behind the scenes, but it just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Today we came as a family, and there were three new employees working. It was pretty clear they weren’t happy to be there, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We did have a larger order, but in the past that was never an issue—we were always greeted warmly and appreciated as customers.

“If you’re in Queens and you haven’t been to Broski Grill yet, you’re sleeping. This is the city that set the standard for halal street food — and Broski Grill is holding that flag with both hands.
I got the combo over rice with fries — crinkle cut — loaded with chipotle sauce, white sauce, hot sauce, and green sauce. Look at that box. That’s not a meal, that’s a flex.
The rice is a proper base, the meat is seasoned right, and the crinkle cuts hold up under all that sauce without going limp — which tells you the fries are fresh and the timing is on point. The sauce game is elite. White sauce is herby and creamy, the hot sauce brings real heat, the green sauce adds that fresh brightness, and the chipotle ties the whole thing together. Every bite hits different depending on what combination lands on the fork.
But what separates Broski Grill from every other spot on the block is the people. The owners genuinely care. They hook it up every time — not because you asked, but because that’s just how they’re built. That kind of love is rare anywhere, but especially in a city that moves as fast as New York.
