“The sliders are decent and large with a good varying amount of spice levels suited for anyone to enjoy. The hot mozz on the other hand, which is pretty viral, was a let down. It tastes really heavily like one of the red peppers, cayenne or paprika, and seems to just be known for a cheese pull.“

“We stopped by this place without much research and the Stir Fried Lagman blew us away. We also got the Plow Rice and the Rice Noodles which were both yummy but the Stir Fried Lagman was TOO good! I definitely recommend checking them out when possible and I highly recommend trying the stir fried Lagman dish, you will not be disappointed!“

“I spoke with the owner after an issue he was very professional, and this is my follow up.

He suggested the chicken tenders and it was very fresh, I also saw a couple order the fish and it was fried to order —it looked so good. Honestly I’m very grateful the owner was able to make it right. Will be coming back again!

“Having a meal ordered from Shah's in Inwood is like having Thanksgiving dinner with every order because the food is outstanding, consistent, fresh, and the service is excellent!! My son and I have been ordering from Shah's 2 - 3 times a week for the past 8 months because the restaurant never fails. My son orders the meat combo and I order either the falafel or fish platter. Both of us order everything: white, hot, and barbecue sauce; chick peas and black beans. In addition to the cukes and tomatoes, customers can also add olives and pickled red cabbage on their meal!! Tiebah and Thaliah are always welcoming, and always remember our names and our orders. We are never disappointed!!!“

“I think this is the best shawarma i have ever had so far. Chicken platter is good, however, i am pleasantly surprised that the beef platter is also as tasty! The meat is so tender, not dry at all!

My bro ordered the Alito fries , I tried some of the chicken - soft and tasty. We shared waffles and chicken as well. The waffles were great. The plus thing - all of it was halal! I definitely would recommend anyone to eat here and I will be visiting again soon!“

“Mido’s Halal Foods is honestly one of the best halal spots I’ve tasted in a long time. Nowadays, a lot of places look the same and even taste the same, but this place was genuinely different in the best way possible.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous without being overpriced. You can tell they care about both quality and consistency. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, which makes the experience even better.

“Omar’s is great. You will pay a few extra dollars then you would at a chain mediterranean, but the quality of food you receive is what makes it worth it. Not only that, their packaging is neat, and they are generous with their servings. My girlfriend and I plan to order out from Omar’s a lot more now that we know how good the food is.“

Everything was great, the food came fast and was hot, the soup is really good, the broth was rich and creamy. “I am a fiend for Shawarma. After looking up the best places in NYC, I walked some blocks to get here. I was not disappointed. Where have I been that I have missed this delicacy for so many years.

I will say that the seating here is super minimal, and in the afternoon, you are absolutely baking in the sun. That part was not super enjoyable.

It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! “Popped in here whilst on a business trip with 2 colleagues. All had different sandwiches on Hero rolls. Quick, great service and sandwiches were great too. This is the first eating out experience since we got to NYC other than airport lounges and it set our standards so high. Didn’t know fresh cucumber cubes could be incorporated!
