Delicious food! Prices were reasonable and the food was great. Service was good and atmosphere was not important since it’s just a food truck. I will also say that the location is very convenient being right next to the subway entrance and Columbia campus.
Shwarma over rice definitely worth it. 😋

Hooda Grill is a halal food truck on the UWS. It is a legendary spot and the lifeblood of a Columbia student. The food is always consistent, with generous portions of tender lamb, buttery yellow rice, and seasoned fries. The chicken over rice is so good and delicious, made fresh and fast for only $9. The falafel over rice with both white and red sauce is very good. A beef kebab keeps one sated. The customer service is outstanding, and the owner is so nice. The service is incredible. It is totally worth a visit for a quick and flavorful bite.
