“My wife had been craving Tajen ever since we had it on Morocco. The food was as if we were sitting in Morocco. We ordered two soups Harir and lentil soup. I personally like Harir but lentil soup was ok. Then we ordered Lamb and fish Tajen one with rice and other with bread. Lamb Tajen was out of this world. Fish Tajen was good too. But if you don't have a big appetite, I would highly recommend skipping everything else and just have the lamb Tajen. Atmosphere was cozy and service took a bit of time because they make it fresh so be patient. Overall great experience of having Morocco food without spending thousands of dollars.“

“I had the Giant TIKKA MASALA CHICKEN CHEESESTEAK and it was absolutely delicious! Every bite had a great combination of flavors that blended perfectly together. It had just the right amount of spice—flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. When I tell you it's fire meaning it tastes amazing trust me you won't regret it!

“We just happened to pass by this place and decided to give it a try. First, the place is super clean including the bathroom! Service could have been better with smiles but ok. Now the food is what really shines. And what’s great about this place is that the food isn’t too over spiced. You can add salt and pepper as you like. “First time trying both the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes.I was pleasantly surprised how GOOD everything was! The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. I highly recommend giving this a try ! We will definitely be return customers ! The ladies were quite helpful and informative about the food and it's history as well as super nice !“

“Best Falafel and Shawarma in the city! I usually order at the truck on Ditmars, and they routinely give free falafel to all those who wait for their food or to order. The portions are generous and the food is amazing. Sometimes if you go to the broadway location the service can be a bit slow, but it’s usually crowded when I go. Great place!“

“This place is such a gem! Used to live super close but now it’s a little bit of a trek but absolutely worth it. I have tried most of the menu and everything is always great and fresh. During this visit I opted for the combination pita sandwich (shawarma and falafel). I also highly recommend the spinach pie, lentil soup and Jerusalem falafel sandwich (a vegetarian option stuffed with all kinds of delicious goodies). Owner is warm and friendly, always makes us feel so welcome. Prices are great! Only drawback is there isn’t too much seating but when the weather is nice there are a few tables outside (pict so you can see). Highly, highly recommend!“

Started eating here when I started working in the neighborhood and it is amazing! They are better then chipotle, I don't think I could ever go back. They have a wide selection of offerings, Halal and don't even get me started on the Tres Leches....you will NOT regret stopping into guac time for a bite to eat! They also offer a discount to students. Love supporting a local establishment that gives back to the community.“

Expect to wait a little, but you will be satisfied.Their Steinway Halal cart outside offers half chicken and kabobs over rice. Delicious!“

“I ordered catering from Hot Peppers and it was a hit with everyone! Every single person asked where I got the food from and everyone wants to order from Hot Peppers for their parties! The service was amazing. All the food was securely packed inside quality aluminum trays and containers. They even gave me a plastic crate to make sure nothing spills. They placed a plastic garbage bag in the trunk, to make sure the car is protected if any spills happen. The food was extremely fresh and hot! Despite the fact that I was an hour late for pick up! I was truly impressed by Hot Peppers and their incredible catering service. This will be my Go-To for Halal Mexican Catering! Thank you for the amazing food and freshness of every item! Every single person at my party was very impressed, and most are hard to please. So thats a huge win, in my opinion.“

“We ordered kebabs late at night and reached the restaurant around 12:30 AM. The shop was about to close, but we still waited patiently for our food. While we were waiting, the staff turned off the light right above our table, which felt very rude. Specially the main lady! omg so much attitude yak! Then they told us to leave in a very harsh tone. As a Muslim customer at a halal restaurant, I didn’t expect to be treated like this. It was really disappointing to face such disrespectful behavior. I hope they improve their attitude towards customers in the future.“

“Someone had brought me here my first time years ago. I was skeptical and I’m one of those friends who, after years of knowing each other… you already know my preference and I trust you. After my friend bought me a chicken sandwich I had to come back for more. Fresh ingredients, clean establishment and home made style menu. This spot is Halal Comfort food.
PS: My bro-friend brought me here & I usually eat here with bro-friends. Otherwise I take it to go but usually the men are respectful especially the male staff.
It’s where I go after a bad day to make it alright.
