“Want some good halal? This is the spot. I got the mixed combo and a mango lassi. All made on the spot.
My meal was delicious and the fries were very crispy and seasoned nicely.
The portions are very generous. I couldn't finish my food. Ended up taking it home.
Nice folks here. I think it's family owned.“

“OMG, i love everything they have , small cozy place, culture and art on every wall, waiter was very kind, nice clean restroom, most importantly the food was amazing , chicken was flavorful, dumpling were perfect , samsa can not be better, and the tea made me feel like Royalty. “Great tasting halal. I got the mixed over rice which cost $12. Everything was super flavorful and fresh. The only reason why I won't give this place a 5 stars is because I think the portions could be a bit bigger for the price. Otherwise, this place is great“

“Delicious, generous plate of food prepared fast. We had the falafel and rice plate and the chicken and lamb rice plate. Both were excellent excellent. The meat had nice flavor. It was juicy. There was a good amount of meat and generous portion of tasty rice. He has several sauces to choose from. They’re also very good. And we ate on the benches right near the stand, which was very comfortable.. I don’t know a better way to get a tasty plate of food that fill up any hungry man for 10 bucks. Highly recommend.“

“The gentleman inside is generous. I ordered the kofta (chicken) with rice. He kind of sensed that I was interested in tasting the regular chicken too so he gave me some regular chicken on top at no charge. I left a small tip, paid cash, and returned later to try the lamb.“

“I DIDNT TAKE A PHOTO OF THE PHO BECAUSE WE WERE IN SHOCK AND ATE IT SO FAST. Guys the quality difference is real. The spring roll ratio was amazing. Small menu, everything done right, this broth wasn’t full of the msg, salty, overly fake umami beef broth flavor - The moment u walk in you can literally smell all the toasted spices! And the broth guys. We took one sip and could not stop drinking the broth. It is the best in NYC we’ve had.“

“Time and time again, Shah’s Halal cart has been my go to halal cart in all of NY. I’ve tried halal carts from LES, UES, UWS, Flat Iron, Financial District, 53rd and 6th, Astoria, Bayside, etc, and I still come back to Shah’s. I moved to Florida 6 years ago and when I come back to visit family, you bet I’m paying a visit to Shah’s.“

“This is a great spot if you’re craving fish over rice. It’s definitely worth the price, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
