“During my 5 years in college, regardless of the campus I went to, the bus would always take me past this corner. I'd stop, more often than not, to pick up some halal here if I hadn't eaten all day. I always get lamb over rice with white sauce, and it's always been good. Depending on who is working the truck you'll either get a very friendly person or a very apathetic person, but never a rude one. Price has gone up over the years from $5 to $8 a platter, but that's just life. You spend $12+ for a meal in other places so it's not much to complain about.“
“The best halal carts ever! It is across skyview and it's open till pretty late. I always get chicken over rice with white sauce, it's $8 and it is so so good! What stands out is the rice and the salad, it consists of tomato lettuce and bell pepper. I always recommend it to everyone, one of the best halal carts in flushing!“
“Amazing I had the Mix kabob platter chicken and lamb, with rice, super good They gave me this white sauce and green sauce that complemented the whole meal Served with bread and this spinach that made it all come together, definitely recommend, the older lady that makes the food is such a sweetheart, definitely coming back Thank you Pamir Kabab“
“Good food; reasonable prices!! Only thing I didn't like is that the blinds were drawn over all the windows, creating a fluorescent-only "office-like" atmosphere...in a restaurant!Curiously, the bread was pretty boring but the rice actually had some flava! Also odd, the chicken tikka was a bit dry but the lamb kabobs were juicy. Salad was all right though iceberg lettuce (but obviously fresh and even with a few thin strands of raddichio thrown in)...strangest of all, however, was the grilled veggies side-order: a whole tomato and bell pepper -- nice big ones, too -- but not chopped and kinda burnt all over instead of the gently seared slices served elsewhere! But will still come back fo' mo' 'bobs 'n' rice!!“
“Time and time again, Shah’s Halal cart has been my go to halal cart in all of NY. I’ve tried halal carts from LES, UES, UWS, Flat Iron, Financial District, 53rd and 6th, Astoria, Bayside, etc, and I still come back to Shah’s. I moved to Florida 6 years ago and when I come back to visit family, you bet I’m paying a visit to Shah’s.“
