Kabul Kabab House on Main Street in Flushing is a small, humble place that has been around for several decades. It is a favorite Afghani spot where the food is flavorful, fresh, and truly authentic. The meat is incredibly juicy and tender, soft like butter and full of flavor. The go-to order is the barg kabab with brown rice, and the combo 2 with chicken kebab and lamb tikka comes highly recommended. The green rice with lima beans and dill is amazing but only available on weekends. A special pomegranate type spice or seasoning is put on the rice and is a must. The place is known for the most delicious white sauce. The service is excellent from start to finish. The staff is attentive, friendly, extremely kind, and helpful, making customers feel like family. Hospitality is a big part of how all Afghans conduct their life. The restaurant is ideal for catering, as trays can be prepared with little to no advanced notice. This place is phenomenal.
