About East Buffet

East Buffet has been a staple in the Chinese Community for decades in Downtown Flushing. It features a traditional Chinese restaurant with a large banquet hall on the second floor, offering Dim Sum for lunch and dinners, as well as wedding and birthday parties. The restaurant mainly serves Cantonese style Chinese food, including dishes like lamb chops, beef short ribs, and seafood chow mein. While it no longer offers an all-you-can-eat buffet or Mongolian hot pot, it has a good selection of meat and seafood dishes. The food is well prepared, fresh, flavorful, and tasty, with many exotic options to try.

The restaurant is often busy during weekends and holidays, with lines forming at the entrance, especially on Sunday mornings. Seating might require a wait of around 20 minutes. The Dim Sum carts are wheeled around by attendants, allowing guests to pick what they like. The food quality is consistent, and service can be good, with staff like Allen Lin providing friendly and attentive assistance. The restaurant has an elevator for those with mobility issues, but parking can be difficult to find. The restaurant is clean, and parking options include free street parking after 7 pm and free 2-hour garage parking with dinner, although parking is often limited. The noise level can be loud, but the overall experience offers authentic Cantonese dishes at a reasonable price.

East Buffet is a traditional Cantonese restaurant that focuses on dim sum, seafood, and classic banquet-style dishes. The restaurant has a large, old-school Chinese dining atmosphere with a spacious layout that makes it suitable for groups and family meals. The dim sum cart service gives it a more traditional feel, where dishes are brought around and you can choose items as they pass by rather than ordering everything individually.

Come here for dinner often and each time we leave happily full. Each waiter was attentive and treated us like friends (they were uienst about which dishes were not worth the money at the time). Good ol' fashion Chinese cuisine for dinner.

Yummy dim sum
