“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.
Regarding the food:
Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.
Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.
King Salmon: Quite tender.
Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.
Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.
Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“Very fairly priced South Indian vegetarian restaurant/canteen in Flushing, located in the basement of the temple. The food was delicious and at the same time wasn't too oily. Although, the snacks were a bit on the expensive end, I felt, but definitely a must-visit.“

“Chef Papa is an authentic Vietnamese spot and I loved the food here. The beef pho had a rich, flavorful broth, the fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the spring rolls were fresh and delicious. The beef sandwich was amazing and definitely a highlight. Everything tasted authentic and well made. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Vietnamese food!“

“In response to another review regarding a ridiculous comment that vegan food was prepared on same grill as meats:You think all restaurants we go to and order vegan food always properly clean and disinfect the grills, cutting boards, etc?I do my best to not eat anything non vegan but am realistic in that I can’t always be certain that they don’t sneak things in there or cause cross contamination. At least they’re trying to accommodate us!You should judge a restaurant by the quality of the food, service and price in comparison to what you’re receiving. Any place that serves vegan has it hard enough with all the publicity against veganism. They have Great menu items that are delicious.“

“Wontons in chili oil were very good. I think the chili oil sauce was not the absolute best I have had but was good. But the combination of that and the wontons, which were thin with a great ratio of meat made the dish overall a great value.“

“Wanna eat authentic Chinese food while in Flushing but not sure where to go? Go here is my advice so you have like a dozen stalls to choose from for a wide variety of dishes. Prime examples: Taiwan braised sliced pork, stir fried rice noodles, yellow chicken, braised pork knuckles, sizzling steak, mala fish, sauerkraut fish, chili fish, hairy crab rice (👍🏻), five spice calamari. My personal favorite is from Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodles shop— oxtail hand pulled noodle soup. The beef broth is amazing so no matter what topping you add, the whole thing will be amazing still.“

“Been coming here since I was a kid. Authentic korean restaurant with all the dishes you can think of and bbq if you like. The only thing that was a letdown was their rule when ordering bbq. Minimum is two orders of meat. I never knew about this rule because we usually go with larger groups and order a lot. It was only me and my girl this time and we both wanted our own main dish with a little bbq meat but unfortunately had to go without the bbq this time.
No fuss. We ordered a seafood pancake for appetizer and seafood soon dooboo and dolsot bibimbap for our main dishes. Came out to about $60 before tip so very affordable as always.
Place used to be 24 hours but I see they've cut their hours to midnight. Anyways. Always a good place to go for a guaranteed good time. Come early or book a reservation otherwise there will be a wait. During peak times on the weekends, you might be waiting awhile.
They coned off two metered spots for customers so it was nice to pull up and park right in front.“

“We were attending an event at Queens College and wanted to have a lunch/dinner afterwards, so we searched for restaurants nearby. There were many choices, but I was impressed by the website and menu for Piccolo Sogno. Following the event, joined by four friends, my wife and I made the short drive to the restaurant. It was a hot day, and at first we said we would like to dine inside. But the gracious host said we were welcome to check the outside seating first--and we're so glad we did! In the lovely, covered garden, we comfortably began a great feast! Piccolo Sogno has a nice selection of wines and beers as well as sparkling water. That was followed by delicious Calamari Fritti (done to perfection) and a Hot Antipasto Sampler with more calamari, baked clams, eggplant rolatini and amazing fried shrimp. We followed that with Pollo Alla Francese (some of the best I've ever had), Spaghetti Carbonara, Penne Vodka, and Insalata Dello Chef with chicken. These were served with generous side orders of Caesar salad or pasta. The service was friendly, courteous and at a pace that made for a wonderful afternoon. Even though we were extremely well-filled, we ordered dessert, and are so glad we did! The Limoncello Flute was one of the best desserts we've had, as was the Chocolate Mousse. Some iced expresso (wait until you see the special way it is layered!) and coffee would have been the end of a perfect meal, but then Chef Maurizio himself came out to spend some time at our table. After a nice conversation, he took this selfie shot of us all. As we left, the wonderful staff of the restaurant all greeted us and thanked us for coming. I can't remember the last time that happened in such a warm and spontaneous way. I could not more highly recommend a restaurant. We live in Manhattan and have our choice of some of the best restaurants anywhere--but actually, I look forward to returning to Piccolo Sogno!“

“The shop is quite small, so you might walk right past it without realizing it’s there. To find it more easily, just remember it’s right next to Dunkin' and has a blue sign.
The service is super nice and friendly, but it’s a takeout-only spot, so keep in mind that you'll need to find a place to eat—unless you can't wait and just eat right there! We walked all the way to Tangram Mall to sit down, but by then, the food was already cold.
When the server asks if you want sauce, make sure to get everything. If you like heat, ask for extra Sriracha; if you prefer something nutty and saucy, ask for more peanut butter sauce. I also grabbed a tea egg for just $1—an absolute steal and very tasty! It leans more sweet than savory, which reminded me of tea egg sweet soup.
It’s definitely worth the money and worth a try if you’re already in Flushing.“

“honestly some of the best desserts in flushing. i’ve been multiple times, and i love at least one thing i order each time. the drinks are just alright, but the ice cream, cookies, and cakes blow me away. the caramel miso cookies is genuinely one of my favorite things in this world ever since i tried it!!
good food, great atmosphere, however one thing holds this place back from being 5 stars in my book: the service. although servers are friendly, every time i come here, no matter if it’s busy or slow, i have to flag them down so i can pay or have them just take my order. as someone who has worked in food service, dealing with multiple customers can be overwhelming, i understand. however, it’s discourages me as a customer to come back to that. on the night of white day, despite being sat, my friend and i didn’t get any menu, then once we grabbed our own, had to wait more for our order to be taken. even when it’s slow, servers aren’t on the floor, and i’ve waited longer to pay than to have my food come out. i don’t blame them for the most part- as i usually only ever see one person on the floor, even on busy weekends. i hope the owner hires enough people to make sure the team is supported enough and customers don’t feel neglected.“

“The place is great! One down side was the soup was a little lacking in flavor so I depended a lot on the sauce bar to make everything taste even better. Love the buffet concept of the noodles, veggies, and meats. Servers were very nice and kept everything clean. Definitely coming back!“

“🍜 food: Hand pulled noodles are freshly made, chewy and super delicious. It’s a flavour bomb! Loved it ( I ordered cumin hand pulled noodles)
🏠Ambience: the restaurant is beautiful but the stone designed chairs are quite uncomfortable for short people like me.
🚽 There’s restrooms inside the restaurant so Yay!“

“I am so glad that a dear friend of mine recommended and brought me to this very unpretentious restaurant on Main Street, Flushing. Known for its authentic Taiwanese cuisine, this place doesn’t disappoint. Service is great with experienced servers that are attentive and friendly. To start, pickled napa cabbage and soft boiled peanuts are placed on the table. Followed by a complementary plate of sautéed cabbage in light oil. Succulent and delish. We ordered a few dishes to share and all of them were memorable! I particularly liked their shredded pork with Chinese celery. The Mapo tofu is simply full of flavor with the right amount of chili. The chicken in the clay pot is divine and full of flavors too. We also ordered the fresh clams with basil sautéed with bird’s eye chili. So good, we asked for more rice. All in all, a nice local restaurant with no frills but thrills your palette. Note: Cash only. 🤷🏽♂️“

“I’m pretty sure I discovered this spot long before Anthony Bourdain did! 😏 It was featured in Parts Unknown Season 9, Episode 4 (Queens), where he dined here with chefs Josh Smookler and Cosme Aguilar. Geo Si Gi is highly known for their signature gamjatang (spicy pork bone soup).
Ordered the Gamjatang & Grilled Mackerel Set – $52.95 (for 2)
The gamjatang is perfectly spiced – bold and warming without overwhelming heat (and trust me, my spice tolerance is low!). Instead of the usual red kimchi, they load it with long strips of green napa cabbage, cut right before your eyes before serving. Some bean sprouts, watercress on top, with tender potatoes, chewy rice cakes, and massive pork bones that fall right off – so meaty and flavorful. Served with a side of sweet mustard sauce. Pure comfort on a cold day.
The grilled mackerel was enormous and incredibly plump – way bigger than expected! As an oily fish, it’s rich and satisfying, but we barely made it through a third. If you’re a mackerel fan like me, it’s a must-order.
.
Banchan were simple and homey: nothing flashy, just solid classics. Bonus: it comes with fluffy steamed egg (jjim) that rounds out the meal perfectly. I can eat an entire bowl of rice with just the steamed egg 😊
.
This set was massive for two – we left with about 1/4 of the soup and 2/3 of the fish! Pro tip: Save some broth and ask them to make fried rice with it at the end. Game-changer.
.
Highly recommend for hearty, soul-warming Korean food in Flushing!“

“First time ordering and everything was delicious!! Clean , delicious, and not gloppy! Will be ordering from them regularly! The roast duck and sautéed green beans , dumplings , pork rolls , chicken lo mein , everything delicious!! Thank you again!!“
“Overall a nearly excellent burger in the Shake Shack style can be had here! There's about 20 different styles of burgers with creative combinations. We had the O'dada and double whammy burgers. Both were overall very good with fresh, high quality ingredients and an excellent brioche style roll. The main problem we had was the burgers were a bit too greasy and excessively juicy which kept us from giving a 5 star rating.. It was difficult eating these burgers without making a mess and the fatty juices were flowing out like a fountain. Despite this these are still probably the best burgers in Queens due to high quality ingredients and being very tasty. The service was quick and friendly! Recommended if you're in the area and you're craving a Shake Shack style burger.“

“Located inside upscale international cafe. We got the mixta arepas which were filled with beef, shrimp, chicken, fried pork belly and cheese (Carne, Pollo, Chicharrón y Camarón Adicional de Aguacate o Queso). It tasted so good until we got to the part with belly party which tasted very bad.
