Rolo’s was certainly my most anticipated spot on this tour after seeing their fantastic Eater video and it certainly didn’t disappoint.Their Double Cheeseburger with the $3 Bacon Addition was the most flavorful and wonderfully textured burger I’ve had in years. The pickled pepper made for an interesting off-beat accompaniment. The polenta bread was simple but delicious. A layer of polenta with olive oil and sea salt, could eat that all day.I also ordered a Strawberry Passionfruit Punsch, which was served in a small goblet. Nice blend of rum, strawberry cordial, passion fruit and lime tiki bitters.There are quite a few more dishes I’d like to try at Rolo’s. Unfortunately for me, Rolo’s in in a different time zone. But I’m glad I got a chance to try it.“

“Otis, My Man! - Animal House I planned out both dinner and show Friday night for my wife. I have the first reservation at 6pm but in order to make this all work she has to leave work a little early. She says it shouldn't be a problem but all I'm thinking about is their homemade breads. If there's an issue, I may leave late. Woman, set yourself on fire and run out of there! Once inside, this is a beautiful space in Bushwick. Bushwick always makes me laugh. If my grandparents were alive they'd say the rosary for me. Bushwick in the late 70s? As I see the subway across the street, I can see why in 2024 this is a popular neighborhood. Walking inside, there is a long beautiful looking bar that's stocked with some high end booze. I was about to order one of the great Scotch offerings but I see a smoky & spicy Otis signature drink called "Revenge Of The Line" made with Mezcal, Charred Pineapple and Habañero. Ah-mazing. The Otis Menu isn't broken down into starters and mains. The Otis team lists everything, figure it out and order. My wife & I made this work. Starting with the Burrata and the Roasted Beets. The Burrata was on top of this Sweet Potato and Tomato Jam. Once the burrata was cut open, delish! We slathered the cheese on the charred focaccia, soo good! The roasted beets with Ruby Frost Apples were another solid dish. What made it next level was the Crispy Quinoa and Candied Pecan bits. Highly recommended. Next, Lamb Meatballs and Braised Pork Pasta. We're sitting at the chef's table and watching these guys cook is crazy. They have 5 pans going at once and they are hustling to get food out. I see them take the Lamb Meatballs and put them on the grill to get that charred goodness. When they're finished the Lamb Meatballs are plated over a Tomatillo Tahini. This is a phenomenal dish, and the definition of phenomenal: very remarkable, extraordinary. Finally, the Braised Pork Pasta. This was something I never had before, it says miso but the underlying flavor tasted more like cinnamon. House made Gigli Pasta with Pork Shoulder which was cooked low and slow, fork tender soft and loaded with flavor. This dish was topped with House-Made Ricotta. Best described as a little heat with sliky tomato sauce, the Braised Pork Pasta is the best dish on the Otis menu. The desserts looked amazing but we were so packed I had to say No Mas. I am so glad we dined at Otis, I highly recommend Otis for Cocktails and Dinner.“

“I will rate this place somewhere between three and four. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were courteous and friendly, well deserved 5-star rating. The food is a hit and miss. You need to know what to order in this place, otherwise, the dining experience could be unpleasant to your palates. The ribs in the cage looked fun but not impressive while eating them. The bathrooms were super unpleasant. It is a publicly shared bathroom and is poorly managed.Vegetarian options: There were not a lot of vegetable dishes here, but decent selections. Need to specify no meat for special dietary requirementsParking: The parking lot is expensive in the basement, and SUPER DIRTY AND SMELLY in the stairwells.“

Lately they have been in bed stuy.This review is for my visit over the summer. We went on a Sunday and received the following: seafood mac n cheese; hot honey oxtail sliders; blueberry cornbread and the Cater 2 U which has salmon, shrimp and crab cakes. No complaints on the food, the portion size or the customer service. Everyone is always nice. I've only met the male owner during my visits and he is the best! “I saw this place on instagram and added it to my bucket list. My husband and I traveled from Atlanta just to try The Monkey King. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back. Our waiter was accommodating and made us feel like we were seating in VIP. We met the owner Mike. He was professional and was grateful for us traveling to Brooklyn New York to try his restaurant. According to their website, Che Li presents a distinctive dining experience, weaving together the rich tapestry of Song Dynasty banquet culture with the authentic and sophisticated flavors of Shanghai cuisine. Their culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in the heritage of Jiangnan--a region known for its delicate beauty, culinary finesse, and the origin of Shanghai's gastronomic excellence. “We had a fantastic dinner at Gyu-Kaku celebrating a birthday. Since it was our first time dining there, our server explained the various options on the menu and made excellent recommendations. Based on those, we chose one of the preset group meals. Food was plentiful and delicious. Despite being told that the table would only be ours for 1:45, service was not rushed at all.
