“Awesome italian deli with great bread and sandwhiches. They also have a small hot table w prepared foods and a small section of imported Italian goods and mets memorabilia. They own the bakery next door and I saw someone who ordered some amazing looking french toast and bacon egg n cheese on foccacia. They have a garden patio with seating and a fountain that you can sit at and enjoy. The garden area reminds me of my grandparents and elderly relatives. Love how the painted mural has the Bari mentioned.“

We make it part of our day to take a walk and always stop in for a snack or a sandwhich. Sam and his wife are lovely, friendly people and always make a fuss over the babies. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“I’ve been to Bombom a few times now and it’s always a great experience. I recently got two sandwiches from here and they were really good, made just right. The cashier is always friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference. They also carry a variety of snacks, and they’re happy to accommodate special requests as best they can. “I bought a slice of cheesecake and a slice of apple pie, and I honestly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who’s currently on a diet.

The moment I left the deli, I decided to take just one bite of the cheesecake. Well… that plan failed immediately. I couldn’t stop eating it. Then I thought I’d try just one bite of the apple pie too. I took a bite, put it back in the bag, and within seconds I was reaching for it again. Before I knew it, I was walking down the street happily eating the entire slice.

“Love this bodega! Living around the corner, I’ve been coming since they opened, and I’m so grateful to have a bodega on the block, especially one that’s open 24/7. I don’t love all the changes since the new ownership, but it’s not that huge of a deal. Would love it if they started selling some fresh produce like avocados, and pre-cut fruit cups, and ESPECIALLY more vegetarian+vegetarian protein options in the deli and bring back the selection of lactose-free canned coffees. I just need some healthy options that align with my dietary needs 😩 there’s not even dairy-free ice cream.

The food is decent—it’s a bodega so keep your expectations in check. Very generous with the portions! Could do a better job listening, as frequently enough there’s at least one incorrect aspect to my order.

Someone posted a review a month ago and mentioned being judged for using EBT, but they haven’t accepted EBT as payment in several months now, so I’m not sure if they’re straight up lying or if this was something that happened a long time ago. I’ve never had anything but super friendly service and never once felt judged for using EBT, in fact there was one time I didn’t know I could use my EBT on a specific product and they did me a major solid and let me know. Plus, the person working the counter is usually watching shoppers pretty closely. Not to say the reviewer definitely is lying, it’s just the details don’t add up.“

“Who normalized charging $20 for an Italian sub? It just feels un-American. Thankfully D&F in Astoria is more patriotic than that and their Italian combo hero is a very reasonable $10.50. It comes with all the classic meats, provolone, and oil & vinegar. My personal opinion is that an Italian sandwich is better after a few hours in the fridge so plan accordingly.“
