“This place has been around for a long while, but I only came here for the first time this past summer, and now, whenever I find myself in the area, I try to come by here for a nice fresh sandwich for lunch. I'll usually get their fresh mozzarella hero, and I'll add tomatoes and peppers as well. They have hot tray daily specials, as well as other specialty Italian ingredients. “Excellent! It's like stepping back in time once you walk through the door. All the sights and wonderful smells of a real old fashioned Italian Deli. The staff are warm and welcoming and the food is always excellent. There is a relatively rustic area with sturdy wooden tables and chairs where you can eat your sandwich there on the premises if you don't feel like taking your food on the road. You can't find too many places like this anymore and it's a shame. I can almost guarantee that you will be hard pressed to find a sandwich on par with them in all the 5 boroughs. “We recently had a retirement party with food catered by Benateri’s. I dealt with Benny the owner who is a true professional. We walked in with no idea how much food to order. He gave us an estimate on how much food we needed to feed the entire party, and he was spot on with how much we needed. The party turned out to be a big success, there was more than enough food for everyone. I was constantly being asked where the food was from as it was the best they have ever at a catered party. All their food was amazing but the standout was their penne with vodka sauce, is probably the best I’ve ever had, it’s amazing. We also ordered had some Spanish style Pernil which is super tender and a surprising real hit, yellow rice, the classics chicken parm, eggplant parm, ziti, Jack Daniel’s Pepper Steak(amazing!), a couple of chicken cutlet hero’s and much more. All in all 22 trays of food packed very well, on time, and neatly for pick up. We will definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable and food quality and customer service is excellent. Highly recommended, one of the best spots in the city.“

“As a Haitian, I'm very critical of other Haitian restaurants. This was my first time trying Blueline and it did amaze me. The griot (fried pork) in the sand which was so well seasoned and well cooked. It was soft on the inside but crispy on the outside, everything you could ask for with griot. It included a secret sauce that was INCREDIBLE. The place was a cute takeaway spot with a few seats. I began to chat with the woman at the front and asked her who's recipe was the secret sauce. “This store is amazingly clean & well preserved. It looks like you walked into a deli from 1969. Its spotless. Its deli case is filled with all types of delicious food. I got a pastrami on rye w/ fries. Its pretty good pastrami. In my opinion its not made on site. Its a pastrami brisket ordered from a provisions company & maybe steamed in the back. It just does not have that fall apart real kosher deli pastrami texture. That being said its very flavorful sandwitch. I definetly enjoyed it. I give the pastrami a 7/10“

I have been coming here for years and it's just terrific high-quality food never got stuck here terrific selection, a bit higher on the prices, but to be expected in this day and age. “I’m new to this neighborhood and was previously going to cherry valley deli on Kingston Ave but this place is much better across the board, customer service, prices, attention to detail and just overall quality. The deli selection leaves you questioning why you'd make any meal when you can go with their sides. I opted for a prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich that was delicious.
