I left a lower than usual review because it was happening more than once as I am a regular customer. Immediately they were on it. The next time I placed an order I received a phone call from the owner herself to make sure they knew what went wrong and how they could fix it. “Great Italian deli. Good for lunch but if I had one complaint is that they give you way too much food! When we get this at work for lunch, I have to plan it as a two day meal. But I will say, their catering blows away any other catering place. You order a tray of chicken francaise or parmigiana and you get more chicken than you could ever expect. They do not short change you on the amount of food they give you. But add to that, it's outstanding! The catering here is unbeatable! Trust me when I tell you, next family party, get it catered here. You will not be disappointed! You will be so happy you went here!!“

“The store is small and plenty of items available. I have bought turkey wraps and salads from this spot. Prices are reasonable. The wraps are made fresh and pretty thick with deli meat. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Good place to get a quick bite to eat or the many beverages available“

Arrived as tourist and left feeling local.The guys here sorted out anything we needed any time any day, literally got treat like royalty with the staff.The food is impeccable, I was told to try a chopped cheese on my travels, I had nothing to compare it to, but delivered! “The hot Chopped Cheese hoagie is very, very good. The best that I have had on Long Island. Staff are kind and friendly. Open late; which is always great, but remember that it's in the West End of Long Beach, which has more locations serving booze into the wee hours than Burning Man, and so things can get dicey down on Beech Street after 10 pm. But the Chopped Cheese is worth it.“

“We were staying at the nearby hotels. During a walk around the area found this deli. Wanted something for breakfast, so we went inside and got breakfast sandwiches. They were very good and the prices were very reasonable. Workers were very friendly. The deli also sells drink and household items.“

“This store is amazingly clean & well preserved. It looks like you walked into a deli from 1969. Its spotless. Its deli case is filled with all types of delicious food. I got a pastrami on rye w/ fries. Its pretty good pastrami. In my opinion its not made on site. Its a pastrami brisket ordered from a provisions company & maybe steamed in the back. It just does not have that fall apart real kosher deli pastrami texture. That being said its very flavorful sandwitch. I definetly enjoyed it. I give the pastrami a 7/10“

“My husband and I stopped here a couple weeks ago on a trip to visit family. I was 8 weeks pregnant at the time and struggling with morning sickness. I got a breakfast sandwich here and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since, it was that good. The bagel was fresh and toasted perfectly, the eggs were cooked to perfection, not burn even with a tiny about of runny yolk remaining. The bacon was melt in your mouth delicious without crumbling into your lap. My husband got a sub sandwich and he said it was better than his favorite deli from his hometown. I think we will make this a regular stop. I highly recommend.“

“i’ve been buying this sandwich the exact same way since my mom put me onto this deli maybe 10 years ago? it’s more or less always looked this good and tasted this unbelievable. the caravella is a $15 sandwich and they make it worth every single dollar 9/10 times. any time i’ve had an issue, i call back and my issue is fixed. for any negative reviews, a little known pro tip for people who eat out a lot is that the best food is usually made for the kindest customers ??‍♀️“

The deli selection leaves you questioning why you'd make any meal when you can go with their sides. I opted for a prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich that was delicious. “Got the tacos de carnitas (pork), chorizo (ground pork), and bistec (steak). All delicious but my favorite has to be the carnitas, and this is mostly because the owners wife makes the pork from pork shoulder and she's Dominican so she makes it as pernil which I grew up eating and it's my favorite rendition of pork. So it's fair to say that I've been here like 3 times in the past month and a half after finding this spot ? but it's bc in all honesty these are some of the best tacos in the area (Elmont/valley stream) and especially the best carnitas (pork) tacos in the area. We can try and compare other spots, but I promise you it's just your pride lol if we are talking Elmont this is the spot. Very authentic and the portions are crazy, I can throw down but I'm good with 4-5 tacos.
