I stumbled on this store and felt like I had just stumbled on a piece of Italian Christmas history. Brought me back to my childhood. I had the sausage and peppers, delicious! I also got a hero which was so big I had to eat it in 3 parts. Plus some absolutely delicious traditional apricot filled cookies from Joe's Bakery. This is a special place, the food is incredible. The hot bar or sandwiches you can’t go wrong, and you can tell there’s a lot of years of Italian cooking done here, it’s an institution. Top 3 sandwich shop on Long Island. A must try.

Ardito's is staple of the community there in Mineola. Anyone who knows Rosa and Tony will agree with me that they are both amazing. The food is always on point and handed to you with a smile. The lunch hours can get pretty crowded and busy but is worth the wait. I recommend Arditos for everything from sandwiches to salads and pasta.. eggplant parm to die for and some of the best chicken cutlets I have ever had!
