Local Hops is a cozy, smaller space with a friendly staff and a cool, hole-in-the-wall vibe. The restaurant offers a large beer selection with great descriptions on tap and in cans, with a nice perk of $2 off draft beer during happy hour. The menu features the classic double smash burger, which has good flavor and nice crispy edges, though it is quite greasy and could use more house burger sauce. The fries and onion rings are both excellent, fried to a perfect crisp, and the spicy fries are also great. For non-meat options, the double Impossible cheeseburger and Buffalo cauliflower are delicious and satisfying. The wing and sauce selection is decent, though there is no dark Guinness equivalent. Staff are calm, efficient, and generous, even pouring samples of menu items to help customers decide. The space is great for playing quick card games or enjoying vinyl night, where guests can bring their own records. It is a nice after work hang out with amazing service, though there is only one bathroom and limited drink options for non-drinkers.
