“I live in Forest Hills and I’ve been to this place a few times in the last few months with some friends and let me tell you their beer doesn’t taste any better then a cheap beer or ale from the 99 cent store. I really don’t like to write bad reviews to businesses especially with the pandemic and how bars/ restaurants are struggling to make ends meet today, but I really have had it with this so called owner that was beyond rude to me after I stopped by and used the restroom. I have come as a customer a few times and really needed to make an emergency restroom stop. Since I had patronized his establishment before, I didn’t think it would be a big deal to quickly use the restroom. When I got out of the restroom the owner was very rude and nasty to me, telling me to never come back to his bar. I asked him why and he said because I wasn’t spending money and that my type shouldn’t be allowed to come to his place. I was appalled at his behavior and attitude and told him I will gladly not ever return.“

“Always a pleasure coming to Rove! Tonite was an exceptional experience. I wish i got the bartenders name. Wednesday 4/24/24 between 7-9pm. Nice nails and curly hair. She was funny pleasant and took care of us. Long story short, after great apps and drinks, paid the bill and left…I dropped a $50 out of my pocket after I paid and left and was only 2 store fronts down and she came after me telling me you dropped a bill and gave it back. You don’t see this honestly often anymore. Kudos to her and Rove deserves her as an employee.“

“My friend and I co-hosted a going-away party here in the evening for about 25 people, and the venue was fantastic and incredibly easy to work with. We weren’t doing anything super formal—just a mix-and-mingle with two different groups of friends celebrating together in New York City as we move on to our next chapters.

Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that the events manager didn’t make the gathering into a bigger production than it needed to be. They understood exactly what we wanted and helped us host something really fun.

The service was exceptional, and our waitresses were awesome. Everyone was able to have a separate check, and there were no complications whatsoever. The bar does close at midnight, which was a little annoying, but ultimately no big deal.

The venue itself is gorgeous: beautiful design, a total vibe, great lounge-style electronic music, and unreal views of the Empire State Building and the beautiful European-style architecture across the street. The red piano also makes for great photo ops.

We had an awesome experience, would absolutely come back, and highly recommend it!“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“I just had my 40th Birthday in the yard at the Gowanus location. The location is very conveniently located a short 9 minute walk to many trains. From the start of contacting Threes Brewing to the day of my event it was A+++++++ customer service. During the event the servers were also AMAZING and our personal server, Fletcher is absolutely incredible. My friends and family had nothing but great things to say about every little thing. Food was also delicious. I will definitely be going back and hosting future events with them.“

“Between the aimrt and the staff, this place is awesome. I have heard that the beer is also awesome here too(but I can't drink it). However they have more than beer and they have na too! They play all the major sports if that's your thing. You can reserve tables for parties. Beers are great, staff are great! Seriously give them all the tips. And they often have pop up food, whis had always been spot on! Tonight was good by Q! Yummm... I hope you get a Q food night! Also, all bathrooms are non gendered and clean. Drink here be happy..“

“We had an informal baby shower drop-in at Pinkerton recently and it was the best experience. The manager and owner were so helpful before hand - helping me figure out the menu, ordering a few non-alc wines, make sense of the space - and then were accommodating, gracious, and so responsive during the event. And the food, atmosphere, music, was perfect.“

“Recently stopped in to kill some time, and this turned out to be the whole highlight of my NYC trip that day! I previously have had Other Half brews before and since this was conveniently located by where I was headed I added it. I had 3 different beers, the Broccoli, Bacon and the BA Sugar cereal and all were amazing. Staff was super friendly and they had some great tunes in the background. Highly recommend!“

“Honestly so overhyped. Everything was either solid or good, but nothing was outstanding or particularly worthy of note, especially given the near 1 hour wait on a random Wednesday. The mozzerella sticks are indeed the best mozzarella sticks I’ve had, but at the end of the day, they’re just mozzerella sticks. The vinegar chicken is good, baked clams are fine.“

“My wife and I visited Handcraft Burgers and Brews for my birthday this past weekend. As soon as my wife opened the menu she knew that I was going to have to try the burger of the month which was a peanut butter and grape jelly topped hamburger with jalapenos, bacon and cheese. Admittedly I have never had peanut butter and jelly on a burger before but I figured I would try something new and see what all of the hype was about. Turns out, I loved it! Every bite was so flavorful and completely made my birthday lunch a worthwhile venture! We also tried the tater tots, because who doesn't love a good tater tot. We could have chosen from multiple dipping sauces but we decided to go with the garlic aioli and I am glad we did. I dipped each of my tater tots in the sauce and there was plenty for both of us to share. We were helped by Vanessa at the restaurant and she was very accommodating when I was having trouble using a coupon that I had for my birthday. All in all this was a wonderful choice for my birthday lunch and when we are in the area again I would definitely stop by and perhaps try the latest burger of the month along with some tater tots and garlic aioli dipping sauce of course!“

“After a long walk on the Upper West Side, I came across this spot. It was very nice, with a great selection of beers to help beat the heat. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back to get one of those big cans to go. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. The arcade machine was a total plus. I love those things. And the art in the bathroom was also very interesting.“

“Gold Star is the perfect neighborhood beer bar. It features an excellent rotating selection of brews served by friendly and knowledgeable barkeeps. The inside bar is chill with eclectic music wafting from the turntable. The sidewalk seating is my favorite place in Brooklyn to enjoy a cold beer on a nice day. And their little kitchen serves up tasty sandwiches, cheeses, and meats. It does get crowded on the weekend, so sneak out on a Tuesday afternoon and get yourself a beer.“

“We were in town for a wedding, and this was the place where they hosted a pre-wedding celebration. The atmosphere was exciting, and regardless of the large crowd, the servers did an amazing job. Everyone had such an amazing and memorable time.“

“We were so looking forward to try out this new restaurant. The ambiance was really nice, staff was GREAT as well. The food was spectacular!!! We didn't order much, just a few appetizers for the most part (as seen in the pics). I would definitely come here again, it's one of those places that just feels like home. So beyond cozy. The reason for the 4 star is only because some of the portions are insanely TINY. For example, the pasta that we ordered... that in itself is maybe 3-4 bites at most. So we were disappointed in that, the other things we ordered were sized decently. But I do wish that they would give just a bit more.

Update: Recently came here again, and it’s truly a magnificent spot with incredible food!“
