“My friend and I ended up at the restaurant in the Virgin Hotel in Nomad and we were lucky enough to have Yuliana as our server. She is amazing and gave excellent recommendations on drinks and food. If you are a New Yorker or visiting NYC come to Virgin and ask for Yuliana! She is the best!“

They play all the major sports if that's your thing. You can reserve tables for parties. Beers are great, staff are great! Seriously give them all the tips. And they often have pop up food, whis had always been spot on! Tonight was good by Q! Yummm... I hope you get a Q food night! Also, all bathrooms are non gendered and clean. Drink here be happy..“

“I went here on the last day of a week long trip to New York, I ate in many places during my time but this restaurant was by far my favourite.

The intimate counter seating allows you to get really close to the chef and the other staff while they cook so you can really see the artistry. They were also very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had while also being really engaging during the whole tasting menu.

The food itself is top quality, high grade ingredients prepared to a very high standard. Up there with one of the best tasting menus I’ve experienced.

The area around the restaurant is also very beautiful, with a riverside view of the city skyline within a few minutes walk.

“One of my favorite date night spots. Cozy ambience with great selection of wines. Lots of delicious light bites to go with your wine. Popular on nice days, certainly not guaranteed to get an outdoor spot as they are busy but the wait staff can often move you outside once a table frees up.“

I was recently disappointed recently by the pours and prices during an Oktoberfest collab event at the Rockefellar location. However, the manager (Dave) was very kind in approaching me about the issue and was very sincere and personal in his acknowledgement that they were trying something new. I really respected that and would like to give them credit for addressing a customer complaint instead of ignoring it.“

“Carmine Street Beer is the kind of spot that makes you want to slow down and actually look at what you are drinking. It is a small, family owned bottle shop and bar that has been holding down Carmine since 2013, and it still feels personal in the best way. You walk in and it is shelves on shelves of smart picks, from local NYC favorites to classic European styles, plus a tight draft lineup that changes often so there is always something new to try. 

What really seals it is the staff. They are the kind of beer nerds who are happy to meet you where you are, whether you want a familiar lager, something funky, or a let me try something weird moment. You can grab a pour, sip while you browse, and they will genuinely help you land on a bottle or can that fits your mood. The space is cozy with a small bar and a handful of seats, more of a relaxed neighborhood hang than a scene, which makes it easy to pop in solo or with a friend. 

No food, no fluff, just a seriously curated wall of beer and a vibe that says you are in good hands. If you care about variety beyond the usual hazy IPA parade, this place is a yes every time. “

“We were on the hunt for a good oyster happy hour and somehow stumbled upon this exciting little gem — and we’re so glad we did!

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found a great spot. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, especially during happy hour, but the service never missed a beat.

Our bartender was an absolute machine behind the bar, effortlessly keeping up with the busy crowd while pumping out beautifully made drinks one after another. Despite how hectic things were, they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the entire experience. It’s always impressive to see someone handle a packed bar with that much energy and still make you feel welcomed.

Of course, the happy hour oysters were the star of the show. We enjoyed them alongside some excellent cocktails and a few other snacks, making for the perfect casual afternoon/evening stop. The combination of good food, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere made it such an enjoyable experience.

The location is also fantastic if you’re spending the day around the High Line or Chelsea Market. It’s an easy place to stop by, unwind, grab a few oysters and drinks, and enjoy the neighborhood without breaking the bank.

And speaking of the price — the value during happy hour was seriously impressive, especially for the quality and overall experience.

This was such a fun find for us, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Great drinks, delicious oysters, friendly service, and a fantastic happy hour — what more could you ask for?
