“Some of you coming from TikTok or insta need to lower your expectations a bit. This is a tiny 2 people run cafe serving home style Japanese sandwiches and ramen not a fancy omakase restaurant. It was never meant to handle this volume of business and some of you complaining about the owner’s attitude need to think about this from the owner’s perspective a bit. I came on a pretty busy day and witnessed this man dealing with a bunch of high school kids going in and out of his shop asking for a million things but got forbid the man’s a little cranky bc heck I would’ve told them to get out. But he still served them and served me and apologized for the wait which I greatly appreciated. And was it the best sandwich and ramen I’ve ever had? No but it was pretty dang good for a cafe in the middle of Queens. Some of y’all need to chill.“

“A hidden gem for sure! The Green Curry and Pad Thai are the best I’ve had across the city. The blend of flavors in the Green Curry sauce (my personal favorite), are warm and rich with a touch of sweetness and spice. They provide a taste of comfort and home for any Thai food lover. Satisfies every time. Compliments to the Chef and staff for incredible overall service.“

“I’ve been to Nepali Bhancha Ghar before, and this definitely won’t be my last visit. One thing I really loved this time was the buff momo. I hadn’t had good buff momo in such a long time, and these really hit the spot. It was honestly one of the highlights of my meal.

Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the duck sekuwa. I started regretting my order almost as soon as it arrived, and after trying it, I was even more disappointed. It was very dry, and I found several bones and some parts that were quite burnt. It seemed like it may have been cooked directly over a high flame rather than slowly over hot charcoal, which I think made a big difference. Sekuwa, to me, should be juicy, smoky, and well seasoned, but this was unfortunately quite dry and lacking in flavor.

What made it more disappointing was the price. I had spent about an hour and a half of my wages on this dish, so it honestly felt pretty bad to spend that much on something I didn't enjoy. I still tipped the servers because I know the preparation of the food isn't their responsibility.

Interestingly, after coming home and reading some of the other reviews, I noticed similar comments about the chicken sekuwa. One review described it as “really dry and barely having any flavor,” which was almost exactly my experience with the duck sekuwa as well.

I’m sharing this more as a suggestion than a complaint. I really like this place and would still come back for the momo and other Nepali dishes, but I genuinely think the sekuwa needs some attention. Either the preparation method could be changed significantly, or perhaps this particular dish should be reconsidered for the menu. With the right smoky, juicy, well-seasoned preparation, I think the sekuwa could be something really special.

Overall, I appreciate the restaurant and the food, and I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended — as a suggestion from someone who wants to enjoy and support the place again.“

“This is not the first time but I’ve been here numerous times. But everytime , I forget to review as the food is so good here that I get completely mesmerized. So today, I ordered the dhido pork (gravy) thali, came with side dishes of dal, mustard green, potato string beans, ghee and few different yummy pickles. The food was super deeelicious and took me straight back to Nepal ( my thoughts and prayers for all those people who suffered due to the flooding ). Yummy food, super clean bathroom , great ambience and excellent service by the servers.“

“I visited the Potala Fresh Food truck. These are my favorite momo in the city! The momo are so fresh and juicy you have to lean over the container or plate when you eat them, it’s that juicy! I typically get the beef but they have chicken and other varieties as well. I love that you can also order them frozen if you need a large amount for a home event.“

“I’ve eaten at this Liberty Bagels location several times now and I honestly really love it here! Their prices are so good, especially compared to some of the other bagel spots around. They have such a great variety of bagels and spreads, and even some really interesting and unique cream cheese flavors that you don’t always see everywhere. I also love that they have so many different sandwiches, so there are plenty of options if you’re stopping by for lunch too.

The staff has always been pretty friendly and helpful, and I thought it was really nice that they offer samples of the cream cheeses so you can try them before deciding. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve been here and definitely recommend giving this place a try!“

I was hoping to see more whipped cream on my crepe but they were kinda cheap on that. But overall, you get what you pay for. 10$ but the crepe not full as i expect so i feel like its a bit high price. I dont think i will visit here too frequent.“

The go-to sauces here are the red sauce and white sauce. The halal momo are complimented with a thicker, chewier dough than other momos - it takes me three bites to finish each one. “Decided to stop here after I got off the subway. It was still open (until 3:30am) and I ordered the chiles rellenos. The hostess was very sweet and my food was ready in 15 minutes. It came with rice, beans, and tortillas! Huge portion. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned—one of the best chile rellenos I’ve had. Will be coming back to try more things! “This has been our pizza spot for the last 45 years. My mother used to bring us here back when we lived on 87st. And this was our spot growing up and when our dad hit 40 he had his very first slice of pizza. And of course it was from here. My old man rolled that slice up like an egg roll from tip to back and bit into it and was upset that he waited so long to try pizza. After he retired and moved to DR, Everytime he came out to NY he made sure we stopped by Pizza Sam. My old man passed in 2024.
