Solid Indian food in the heart of Jackson Heights. I was able to walk in on a Sunday for lunch. The food was good and everything came out as very hot and fresh. Everything tasted like what I was expecting, which is good. I ordered the samosa chaat, pani puri, shrimp masala, chicken masala, bread basket (garlic naan was my fave from the basket, chicken biryani, and saag paneer. I'll start by saying that service was just fine. We walked in as a group of 6 on a busy Sunday afternoon during lunch hour, and they managed to accommodate us within less than 10 minutes, highchair and all! The diner is very spacious, clean and nicely decorated inside. I found out that is a new location, and they previously had a location that was more "diner-like". Amazing food and service. I ordered takeout from Jackson diner today. I’m on crutches and the gentleman carried my food out to the car for me! When I got home it tasted as good as it does in house. Awesome.
