“This is one of my fave coffee shops in NYC! I lived all over Bedstuy & Bushwick & when I moved to JH I was on the hunt for a real Almond Croissant & americano. I finally found it here.
All the pastries are made downstairs. The spinach or guava empanadas & the espressos and cold brew are also top notch. We go here so much that we have gotten to know the owner!“

“Some of you coming from TikTok or insta need to lower your expectations a bit. This is a tiny 2 people run cafe serving home style Japanese sandwiches and ramen not a fancy omakase restaurant. It was never meant to handle this volume of business and some of you complaining about the owner’s attitude need to think about this from the owner’s perspective a bit. I came on a pretty busy day and witnessed this man dealing with a bunch of high school kids going in and out of his shop asking for a million things but got forbid the man’s a little cranky bc heck I would’ve told them to get out. But he still served them and served me and apologized for the wait which I greatly appreciated. And was it the best sandwich and ramen I’ve ever had? No but it was pretty dang good for a cafe in the middle of Queens. Some of y’all need to chill.“

“I was in the area and decided to stop by Ricky’s for breakfast, sitting at the bar. The chicken and waffles were delicious, with soft waffles and crispy chicken—a perfect mix. The chocolate milkshake was also amazing, with a great texture and super nice flavor! Overall, I had a great experience, and the service was excellent even when the place was busy. I would definitely come back and recommend others to give it a try!“

“This was our third time coming to Lali Guras, and we drove all the way from Virginia just to eat here again because the food and overall experience are truly worth it! The food is some of the best authentic Nepali cuisine we’ve had everything is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. “I really liked this place! I’m visiting from Chicago and it did not disappoint. We were just walking around and so glad we found it. Freshly made delicious bagels and the rolls are scrumptious. “This colorful place became my favorite spot during my new years eve trip to New York. The decoration calls your attention as you stroll on the sidewalk and you have no choice but to walk in. It is magical. The coffee is outstanding. I had arepas that were perfectly made and served with gusto. They are very busy and you have to spend as less time as possible at the table but it is worth it. The only negative is the lack of restroom use for customers..that was unexpected and due to that I took a star from service. This will always be my to go place while I'm in the area. I purchased a couple of pretty boxes with pastries that were extremely well presented and delicious.“
