Brown Sugar Boba Pearl with Cream Mousse

“Decided to try this chain since it has one of the higher Google ratings around the New World Mall area. The Taro Pudding Boba Milk Tea is good if you love taro due to the creaminess and bite-sized taro bits. The other two drinks, Signature No. 1 Black Sugar Boba and Passion Fruit Tea, were enjoyable. The drinks have an aesthetic appeal with stripes of caramel streaking the insides, akin to latte art. Lastly, they were quick with our order.“

“One for the Road is a really cool small spot. It’s like a Korean bodega that makes sandwiches. I’d recommend getting the Korean sandwiches, they taste great. They are filled with cabbage and eggs along with other fillings that you like, I think the cabbage adds a nice texture to them. They also have a variety of other sandwiches, breakfast and lunch platters, and different desserts, such as cookies, brownies, and even bingsoo. The options are limitless! There is a small inside table but plenty of outdoor seatings.“

“This place is less trendy than many new cafes in this area but still a solid after-dinner dessert spot.I guess they are famous for their walnut pastry but we thought they were nothing special. Batter felt thick combined with thick red bean inside and kind of tasted stale? On the other hand, I will be dreaming of their croissant mochi taiyaki for a long time. I could’ve eaten 4 of them in one sitting. The mix of textures is SO GOOD. Crispy flaky exterior with a warm gooey center. Omg.We originally came because we were craving bingsu / shaved ice. These are also just okay. I like that it’s served in a large metal bowl instead of plastic so it stays colder longer. I wish the actual shaved ice was flavored like some other places do, but all the options come with plain milk shaved ice with flavored toppings. It’s also absurd how much a bowl of ice costs these days but whatever, it fulfilled our craving.“

“Navigating through the culinary journey at Flowers & Flour, I've found an enchanting blend of whimsical and traditional bakery experiences, albeit peppered with a touch of unpredictability regarding item availability. On a vibrant Saturday at 3pm, the bakery, although thoroughly sold out of their delectable goods, persisted in remaining open, exclusively offering drinks. A second venture on a more tranquil Monday afternoon revealed a more generous offering of their array of baked items and a singular tuna sandwich amidst assorted gimbaps in various flavors - burdock, tuna, spam, ham, and ham and cheese. The baked delights, from a buttery and moist strawberry jam scone to an indulgent spam gimbap, filled with danmuji, eggs, carrot, and artificial crab meat, proved to be a delightful indulgence. While mayo's presence was mentioned in other reviews, it was the sesame oil that notably graced my palate. The basque cheesecake, however, stole the culinary show with its soft, perfectly sweetened profile, and a delectably burnt exterior that cleverly sidestepped any overly charred flavor. Amidst the delightful savors, the seating area emerged as a vibrant haven, where older Korean adults gathered for warm, lively chats, weaving a tapestry of community and conviviality. The allure of their cake has solidified my resolve to secure a reservation to explore these tantalizing treats in the future. A noteworthy addition to my experiences was the prompt and helpful service. Encountering items labeled in Korean or presented in acronyms posed a minor hurdle, which was gracefully alleviated by the amiable staff, who kindly offered translations and explanations, enhancing the inclusive and welcoming ambiance. While the somewhat capricious availability of certain items does invite a need for flexibility in your visit, the splendidly executed confections, coupled with the heartening atmosphere and commendable service, render Flowers & Flour a destination worthy of repeat visits.“

Juii C Juice Juice

“It's rare to find a good juice place these days - Juii C Juice is not just good, they're actually amazing. This is based on delivery only - but every time I've ordered, the drinks come well packaged and more importantly - the ingredients are fresh and delicious. They definitely give you the contents (fruits, vegetables, etc.) because you can taste it. I have ordered from other juice places before and request items like additional ginger, but it comes with obviously no ginger (and I get charged of course). Juii C Juice definitely gives you what you paid for. Appreciate the honesty and the care they take into all of my orders, especially if there are requests.“

“I've waited way too long and I wish I haven't wasted all those years of just driving by. Canaan Bread has crossed my mind when I get the cravings...but like all loyal customers of Canaan Bread, when you know, you know. My better half took me here for a bite right before our road trip. The seating is limited so don't expect to sit to eat...but if there's a seat, grab it and enjoy Korean blessed diner style offerings. I had their avocado toast sammich and it was Babe Ruth. Yes, that means it's a homerun for me. As full as I was, I shoveled the rest of sammich (and my wife's chicken katsu) in my mouth. The best part was the prices are all very reasonable with the amount of food and quality of food offered. 15 minutes later, we walked out very happy and our clothes reeked of food which would normally bother me. But I was so satisfied with our brunch, I wore my food cologne proudly to our next destination (a small bookstore).“
