“TL;DR: Tasty wontons paired with OK broth at affordable prices.*****I traveled with my semi-picky eater Viet mom, and she told me that morning she craved mi hoanh thanh (wonton). My homie, Jando S, recommended this restaurant on the corner of Prince Street and 40th Road.Things to know:*****I. FOOD & DRINK: They clearly layout their menu (comprised of three pages) underneath the glass on each table and side. Most things on their menu range from the $5s to the $9s. Their most basic wonton soup only costs $6.75. and the most expensive one goes up to $9 (Dumpling Trio Lo Mein). Mom had the basic and I dove into their latter.*Dumpling Trio Lo Mein: Consists of three different kinds ((pork) wonton, shrimp, and shrimp and watercress and comes with broth on the side, which you can easily pour back into your bowl if you'd like. My favorite was the shrimp. What I love about their dumplings is the filling-to-dough ratio. Especially their shrimp dumpling. Other restaurants cut up the shrimp into too small of pieces, and at Sifu they leave large chunks of shrimp making for fantastic, tasty bite ratios.NBD, but the only thing I didn't love was their broth. Just tasted a bit under seasoned.I also tried their Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce ($5.50), and even though tasty they overcooked it. Not crunchy at all. They also serve basic tea found at any Chinese restaurant.II. SERVICE: Very fast. We received our food within ten minutes of being seated.III. AMBIANCE & DÉCOR: Not too many tables (maybe ten?). This is the type of place you take a wifey and not a first date, nah mean? I also loved the Chinese brotha sitting next to us who unapologetically played some show on full blast via his cell phone. lol.IV. PRICES: Hella affordable. Cash only.V. OVERALL: If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd eat here on the reg.“

“All you can eat Korean BBQ, a nice variety to choose from including squid. This place gets busy and parking in the area can be somewhat of a nightmare. They cook for you and you will go home smelling like BBQ yourself, but there seats double as storage bins for your belongings. The staff is very friendly and helpful.“

“Six of us, including three children, stopped here for lunch. The place was already getting crowded, and since they only seated complete parties, we had to wait for Frank’s family to arrive. We enjoyed a variety of veggie dishes, noodles, dim sum, and shumai“

“As someone from Sichuan, I can say Chongqing Lao Zhao nails the authentic hot pot experience. The spicy, numbing flavors bring me right back home. The lively atmosphere adds to the charm, though it can get crowded. Despite the wait, the fresh ingredients and generous portions make it a must-visit for true Sichuan food lovers.“
“A pickup/delivery only family kitchen serving authentic Hakka/Taiwanese dishes: rice noodles, savory tang yuan (glutinous rice ball), braised bamboo shoots, braised pig feet, zha jian mian and more. I have explored most of the menu and everything is homey and yummy. The owner is super friendly, always willing to hear feedback and custom flavors based on your palate. Definitely a hidden treasure either you are looking for this type of dishes or you have no idea what Hakka is, try and find out!“

“**Amore Pizza: A Slice of Authentic New York in Queens**
Tucked away in Queens, Amore Pizza is a true hidden gem for anyone in search of authentic New York-style pizza. From the moment you take your first bite, it’s clear this isn’t just another pizzeria—this is the real deal. The crust is everything a New York slice should be: perfectly thin, with a crispiness that crackles under the teeth, while avoiding the heaviness of doughy pies.
The sauce is simply outstanding—succulent and rich without being too sweet, striking a perfect balance that adds depth to every slice. It has just the right level of tang and a smooth consistency that complements the crisp crust underneath.
Then there’s the cheese: perfectly melted, with a gooey, stretchy texture that oozes with every bite. The blend of cheeses is spot-on, succulent and tasty yet firm with a creaminess and that pairs beautifully with the sauce. Each bite showcases the harmony between the sauce and cheese, making the pizza irresistibly delicious.
Cooked to absolute perfection, the pizza emerges from the oven with a golden-brown edge and an ideal texture from the first bite to the last. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this Queens institution offers a dining experience that reminds you why New York pizza is in a league of its own. If you’re craving a slice of the city’s finest, Amore Pizza should be your next stop.“

“First I worried because it looked not many people inside at 5:30. However each side dishes tasted great. Grilled mackerel tasted so good and fresh. Bossam, steamed pork was good. Ssambab was great with full dishes of fresh vegetables ( I didn’t expect that much because it was winter. All veggies are expensive)Potions enough. I was so satisfied. I will happily recommend this place to my friends. Owner lady looks pride if her food and not so fast but enough kind to refill side dishes. We cleaned all our orders.“

“This place is good, certainly unique in their food fusion. I wouldn't say it has a "wow" factor and the BBQ ribs are pretty standard...it's missing something, like a sauce but worth a try.
Prices have gone up, attached latest menu.“

“I stopped by while in NY with some friends and the food was amazing. We missed breakfast by a few minutes which I was sad about but we caught lunch and I’m so glad that we did. I honestly had a hard time letting the food cool down enough to eat. I got some kind of beef stew and it was very flavorful. The meat tasted like it was marinated, it picked up whatever it was soaked in very well. The banchan was fresh and delicious. We ate them all by themselves before the food even arrived. The staff was nice and patient. There was an odor that I didn’t like and it did upset my stomach. I think it might have been coming from outside though. Honestly the best Korean food I’ve had. I’ll definitely come back during another visit.“

“I have been a fan of their food for the longest time! Even when their location was in the Murray Hill area. The food is always fresh and home made as the owner cooks everything. They really care about the food they serve, which is rare these days! My parents and I always eat well when we're there. They serve you an appetizer of tomato salad with cilantro which is so good. I highly recommend their seafood pancake(it is the best!), their soy marinated crabs, and their tangs(various hearty soups). Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. They change seasonally based on what ingredients are currently fresh.“
