“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

Peg's Cavalier Bar • $
59-02 Norman St, Flushing

“This is such a cool spot for a get together with friends in Ridgewood. We went after dinner from Rolos and our bartender provided great explanations and recommendations for our drinks. The drinks were made well, but most importantly this bar has a very cool ambiance, and very much similar to a lounge experience.

I would definitely recommend this spot as a stopover from dinner whether you're out with a small group or on a date.“

“Among my fave spots around. The atmosphere is electric and they play every game! Enjoy their all-day happy hour, when you can receive five shots for $25 to $40 (depending on your poison of choice). The food is more typical of a pub, but it's great for a quick bite and priced friendly! Highly recommended their bulgogi quesadilla. Couldn’t gate-keep any longer!!“

“Great vibe and super friendly staff.
I was looking for a good sweet cocktail, and the bartender recommended a hidden menu drink — a sweeter version of an espresso martini. It was absolutely delicious. The small bites were also amazing, especially the persimmon cake. Perfect place to come with friends, hang out, and enjoy a relaxed, cozy night. Highly recommend!“

Cold Pint of Guinness Draught

“The owner of the bar Kathryn could not have been anymore welcoming. After a long day of work, I came here to just get a drink and leave. Kathryn escorted myself and my party to a seat after I had thought it was packed. She closed the doors to the bathroom to make it more comfortable (even though the bathrooms were very nice and clean!) and then moved us to a better seat when some opened. A regular at the bar who owned a restaurant cooked food for the bar and it was free to everybody as it was his brother's birthday. The food was delicious! The bartenders were absolutely great too, making sure the drinks had more than enough alchohol in them and they were cheap. Great spot to stumble upon, even better experience!!“

“The staff here is super friendly. I’m not a total regular and don’t know much about cocktails, but I’m always welcomed when I come and they already know my favorite drink.

Such a cool spot—you can even bring outside food in since they don't have a kitchen. They’ll even bring you a plate and silverware without you even asking! It’s a rare find with such a chill, neighborhood vibe. I’ll definitely be back“

“My family and I love going to Flower Karaoke. The facilities and rooms are clean and modern and the staff are very polite and courteous. We are always very comfortable when singing at Flower Karaoke. The rates are very reasonable (sometimes even a bargain) as well. For those who drive, there is plenty of parking space, which can’t be said for most other karaoke places in Queens. Flower Karaoke will always be at the top of our list when we want to go to karaoke. We highly recommend!“

“Such an incredible, intimate spot for amazing Sichuan food. It is very unassuming and tucked at the back of a bar. Auntie Liu is so sweet and welcoming, and even gave my family a free small appetizer along with dessert.

My parents are from Sichuan and they rated this one of the best Sichuan restaurants they've tried. Everything was so fresh and perfectly numbing. We got 6 dishes and each one was incredible, we even ordered more to take home. It seemed like there were a lot of returning customers in the restaurant with us, so you know it's good when people are driving 2 hours to come just for dinner. Seriously such a hidden gem, I highly recommend checking this place out for legit Sichuan food. The taste combined with the incredible service, I'll definitely be returning :)“
