“Came on a Friday night and it was not too busy. We ordered the volcano momos and the goat curry set. Enjoyed the variety of small dishes that accompanied the goat curry and rice, including the potatoes, papadam was amazing, pickled radish and the yogurt dessert. The momo fillings were nice, we hoped that the volcano soup is more hot and spicy.“
“The only good bar in the entire neighborhood, and great overall. It's the oldest bar in NYC (aside from one in Wall St.) - You might recognize it from GoodFellas.Worth going out of your way for the history, and worth coming to just because. They play the sports games with the volume on. Have to love it.“
“Great place to have seafood . Food is very delicious . I had a dragon roll which was good size . Bass was melting in my mouth and buttery but lacked seasoning. Fries very good size but not crispy. They need to work on fries . Greek salad was more of tomato salad than Greek salad . Lacking major Mediterranean elements .Dietary restrictions: Kosher“
“OMG, it was delicious! The food was made in heaven and served to us by really nice staff, they were very helpful and friendly! This place deserves 5 stars in everything! Definitely will come back!I also liked the fact that they A LOT of healthier options. Fantastic!“
“Food is delicious and great size portions. The service is excellent. Erdom and Aziz were so kind and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and lovely. Very clean and bright. Went a week ago and returned a few days later because my 1st experience was so great. Marion“
“It was date night!!! Double date night that is. My close boy and I planned a secret double date with our significant other. They did not know it was a double until we met up at the door of Salvaje social club. let me just say the ambiance did not disappoint at all, the wild jungle theme had me loving every minute of my walk in and stay. Throughout the night the smoke machine would random blow smoke give the place a misty look. The music was pumping all night long and kept us in an upbeat vibe. The selection of music was mainly Spanish music, they did sprinkle in some English music but for most the night it was reggaeton etc. Although I didn't understand what was being said I surely loved the beat of every song that played. The staff at salvaje was very quick, informative of the menu, polite and friendly. We started off with the seeds of passion which was very tasty and strong. We did two rounds of that drink, couldn't get enough of it lol. I then had a Hennessy and pineapple juice , I don't know what pineapple juice was used but it was so good along with the Hennessy. For starters we had the shrimp toastadas and let me tell you it was amazing , I highly recommend it. Two of us ordered the Milton's rice and the other two ordered chicken on the cut. The rice was well fried and seasoned along with the shrimp, it was just a bit salty but i still loved it, the food really did not let me down at all. We stuck around after eating to drink more and dance a bit during our stay. I'll give Salvaje a 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for drinks 9/10 for Food 10/10 for service 10/10 for ambiance“
“This place is going to be a favorite of mine in 2024. I recently celebrated my birthday at Harrison during brunch. The service was exceptionally attentive and personal. The food was fantastic with ample portions with left-overs tasing just as good as when dined. The music was classic rock with a lot of great classic americana portraits and photos of nostalgia. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and we never had to wait. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with this restaurant. I must also add that the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Harrison is five stars.“
“I came here for a beer tasting class with an invite from a friend. It was my first time at this establishment. Upon entering, it's a very nice place to be inside. It's clean, airy, new, and a very casual environment. I don't know what to call this. It's like a tap room with wine and beer and a package store where you can purchase these products also to take home. It's a great place to kick back, especially if you live in the neighborhood and have a beer or two. But I was here for the class and for the cost of the class which was roughly $30 it's a great deal It's approximately a 2 hour class that covers a particular style of beer and numerous samples fron different breweries. I was more than satisfied with the number of samples that we went through. It's a communal table, and everybody gets along and enjoys themselves. I believe it's on the first Thursday of the month. The person who gave the class his name is Rory if my memory serves me right and he did a great job. It was an enjoyable evening and I hope to come back again for it. The beer store is interesting, to say the least. There are many brews here. But most of them, you've probably never run across at your local beverage store. Come here if you want to try some new variations on styles and small release beers. Note that you can buy the beers that you might have at the beer class.“
“Great brunch spot! Delicious drinks and food. The ambiance was nice- despite being small, it wasn't loud and didn't feel crowded. The arepas were nicely cooked and my sunny side up eggs were perfect! Loved my Bourbon Bee's Knees. Can't wait to go back and try more drinks and plates.“
“This restaurant can lend itself to a very noisy environment. Yet today, with several tables taken, conversation was easy and able to be heard. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. Shared their homemade flourless chocolate cakes served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Three happy people after an excellent brunch.“
“I was asked to leave tonite due to an incident with a friend of mine a few weeks ago. I feel extremely apologetic and I must admit the bartender handled it with class. I will respect their wishes to not return but also I want to apologize for any incident that made the staff feel unworthy. This is a great bar with great cocktails and I only wish them the best. I'm sad because I was hoping for this to be my new fave local. All the best! I hope no hard feelings.“
“My friends and I stopped by to grab a late brunch and enjoyed it. It's very laidback but was the perfect place to grab a drink and a bite. The service was friendly and attentive which I appreciated. Definitely a great spot for a casual meal and drink.“
“The most delicious pizza anywhere!!! Amazing cocktails, appetizers, and scrumptious vegetable sides! The eggplant rollatini are the best I’ve ever had. The owner is so warm and welcoming and the staff is great. Can’t recommend highly enough!“
“Literally one of the best kept secrets in all of New York. Food, drinks, staff, music, and the horror decorations are all on point. This is legit one of the best goth bars I’ve ever been to in the world. I can’t recommend this place enough. Once you come here, you’ll keep coming back!“
“It is an excellent and unpretentious place for a girl's night out. We went on a Thursday they had Good music with enough volume to talk with your friends. Good food and curated coctails, I got the Parmesan sandwich on a hero, and it was freshly prepared and delicious plus it came with salad instead of French fries. ( good to cut your carbs ;)) the waiter was fun and kind.“
“Went there on a chilly rainy dull weekday night and oh boy did the place lift up my mood! ? A large beer selection (plus ciders and wines) at a great price and hearty German food. My husband and I had a big appetite and ordered a giant pretzel with cheese, 3 different bratwursts with sauerkraut, purple cabbage and a side of potato salad. By the end of our sumptuous meal we were so full that we almost had to be rolled out. All staff were very kind and professional and gave us excellent recommendations. I would go back just for their hofbrau original and classic brat (and well, yes their potato salad too).“
“Owned by the same owner as Wild Goose, the food is equally as good. Wild Goose has a vibe that is all about a cocktail scene, while Heirloom tavern is about being able to enjoy a wonderful meal and hear your friends conversation. A real gem that more people should know about!“
“After several visits to this Queens-based gem, I gotta say: This is the place to be in NYC. TV Eye is a veritable mecca to all that is subcultural & cool. This Sunday I saw my homies from the Flying Luttenbachers backing the legendary Lydia Lunch in an intimate, blisteringly loud soiree. What a perfect venue for the show, the sound was proper, the room is sexy & dark, the bar & outdoor patio area a pleasure to peruse…“
“The prices are super cheap. Bartenders are always friendly they have a jukebox and vending machine and sometimes they cater food. The game nights (connect4, cards, chess, checkers, dominoes and video games) are absolutely fun. Brother Rob always makes sure everyone has a good time!“
“BC Bistro is a very nice restaurant that serves brunch and dinner. Both times I've been here I've done brunch and both times were very good. They have a really nice brunch menu, including the awesome breakfast pizza, breakfast Risotto, and a lot of different items to choose from. It's gets pretty busy during brunch, with live music, so book s reservation!“
“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“
“My recent experience was exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Daria. From her warm greetings to her attentive care throughout the meal, every interaction was a testament to her professionalism and dedication. Highly recommended for both delicious food and impeccable service.“
“Came in earlier this week after looking for a lunch place near the hospital. Cool, old-school room, great service and everyone loved their food: fetticini alfredo, sausage and pepper calzone and two Patricia's salads with chicken. The portions are huge -- it's like two chicken breasts on the salad. We had Italian for dinner the next night (won't say where) and we all wished we had gone back to Patricia's.“
“Great small place, this please can be come my next Cheers. Locals are great and very welcoming to new comers and give you great recommendations. Great selection of beers and very good food, I would come again. The owner operates the bar and he is very accommodating with great beer knowledge.“
“Very glad with the service and food here. Great work atmosphere and great workers. Really appreciate the service they provided to me. I feel very attended to. The food was delicious. Actually mouth watering. Drinks are awesome. Highly recommend people to come and visit bramos“
“Jack Jones is a cozy neighborhood spot with friendly staff and consistently great food and drinks. I am always impressed by how well the staff manages a busy crowd, even on St Patrick’s Day when there was a line to get in! My husband and I have been coming here since it opened and whenever we bring family and friends in they are impressed with the quality of food and service- it is definitely not just another average bar. We love having a go-to spot in the neighborhood for a great meal, some banter w the wonderful staff, to catch a game and sometimes even live music. Highly recommend.“
“Whether part of a group or on a solo visit, welcome is given. The staff are attentive, engaging, friendly and humorous. They truly make an effort to ensure that the customers return. The kitchen is tiny, yet the food is tasty.Dietary restrictions: When you share your dietary restrictions with the staff, they listen and advise which dishes are suitable. It is a relief to be heard and accommodated.“
“Gottscheer Hall is a fixture of Ridgewood and has been for decades. It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. I recommend it to everyone. Easy 5 stars. Check it out!“
“I love potato pancakes and was expecting a pancake size order. They were smaller appetizer sizes. I went just for the pancakes and ended up with a fish sandwich in a German Restaurant. It was good, but I felt my choices were either sandwiches or large meals at 2pm.. I'll go back to try something else..Wheelchair accessibility: I'll disabled and didn't need a wheelchair but it's Street level. Parking is on the street as well.“
“What a great lil dive bar(I love myself a good dive bar). Food was great and our bartender Gabby(Friday night is when we were here) was so AHH-MAZING!! Definable will come back here again when in town! Music was great, basketball on all the tvs and quick draw too (keno to me in Massachusetts). Short drive from Hofstra University (why we are here )“
“I can't believe this place is down the block from my house and I didn't know. Granted I just moved to the neighborhood, but I can see this becoming a favorite spot. The service was great( maybe the server name was crystal , I'm really bad with names ) ! Food could be at a 3 but if service is great that bumps it up to a 4 . In this case , service was great and food was amazing. Hit the spot. Next time I go I'll repost with pictures ... I was too hungry to snap pictures.“
“My number one go to spot in the neighborhood hands down. Everyone is family and friends, amazing atmosphere! If you are looking for a drink during the day then this is your place. When it comes to nightlife, pool table and music just is incredible. Make sure you visit this bar for sure. All bartenders are great and friendly every single time. You love sports, then this is your spot. There aren't many bars around any more in the neighborhood so definitely check Tee Dee's out!!“
“This is surprisingly good BBQ for long Island! The service is excellent: really friendly and everyone seemed proud of their food -- I love seeing that. The is good (not amazing), but if you're nearby, definitely stop in. The smoked porchetta is incredibly tender and unique.“
“I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality. I definitely would recommend Aperitif to anyone who needs a break from the ordinary run-of-the-mill dining experiences. Thank you Jamal and Staff, Michael“
“Came back a second time and can officially say Tong Brooklyn in Bushwick is the best Thai food I know of in NYC, in the same class as LA and Thailand. And one of my favorite restaurants periodt. Everything has been top tier and filled with delight and surprise.“
“I came here for drinks and dancing on a Friday night. There was a $10 cover when we got there around 10:15. They serve food until midnight. Earlier in the evening, they had tables set up, but they were moving those out of the way when we arrived to create more space. It seemed like a drag show had just finished. They had a few bar stools along the walls and kept a couple tables at the back. We got chips and guac. The guac tasted fresh and the chips were nice and crispy. Good portion size as well. Their drink prices were very reasonable. I got a well drink for $9. They also had a few specials like a beer and a shot, also for $9. They had a handful of single occupancy bathrooms, which were relatively clean. The music however was disappointing. It was mostly house music. Decent beats, but very few recognizable songs that you could sing along to. It got decently full, but wasn't overly crowded. Folks generally seemed friendly. A good number of people were dancing. I might consider coming again, but would try to pick a day with a different DJ genre.“
“Come visit New York. I want to eat mixed fermented pork. Someone just recommended this shop. So I ordered several menus. I have to admit that the fermented fermented pork at the restaurant is very delicious and the Thai salted egg salad has a perfectly mellow taste, but.. the papaya salad with crab and fermented fish and the Tam Mua are a bit too salty. Reducing the saltiness would be very good. But overall it's okay.“
“This place is great for what it is. A lot of the hipster bars nowadays are trying to be something they're not and this place isn't really like that. I also like how they have a dice game with a jackpot you pay a dollar to roll that's dope. I have no idea if they have food so can't comment on that“
“Hot spot on Ditmars any given day of the week! My friend and I came on a Thursday for an embroidery class that was given by Caitlyn from Lemon water studios. The class was in the covered outdoor area in the back. It started at 6:30pm which meant that the sun started to set on us early on into the class and it kinda hindered our eyesight with the needle and thread embroidery business going on so we had to make use of little lamps that were given to us. It was a fun event that I would definitely recommend. We enjoyed mojitos and Korean bbq chicken sandwiches with fries…..yum!“
“They do not sell food, beer and wine only. They make a mean frozen sangria! I never have a problem getting a seat and the bartender remembered me! Cool spot.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get into the market, there are no stairs. It might be a little difficult to navigate once inside. The spaces between the different vendors can be narrow.“
“La Ginestra has become out favorite restaurant in Glen Cove. The food and service are great. And here's a little secret. If you don't see it on the menu, ask your server if the chef can prepare what you want. No guarantee, but you may be surprised that get what you wish for.“
“Providing End is one of those rare Places that you find and always have a great time. Staff is excellent and is what really makes the place a memorable experience. Different events on different nights making an ever-changing experience. Loved “
“Reasonably priced, bustling Bushwick restaurant with tasty food. It's like a funky, cozy neighborhood diner with good food that I wish was closer to where I live.We had the mushroom hash with a side of over easy eggs. It's not exactly a proper hash but it came with crispy pancake, oyster mushrooms, arugula salad with an assortment of seeds and nuts. The Cheddar scallion biscuits come with Chipotle butter.BF enjoyed his tomato soup. You can get it with or without a grilled American cheese sandwich. And got the avocado toast which is quite stunning with beet hummus. He also got a side of the crispy potato pancakes but they were limp and kinda of greasy.“
“Place is very cool spot, Staff are very cool, Everytime we go it’s full house food is great,Best spot to watch all the UFC events etc, if you're looking for a cozy sports bar in Astoria, Murphy's is the place to be. Highly recommended!“
“The Broadway Tavern is a place tucked away in Malverne and is a great place for people to meet and socialize. They have many different events every week to keep everyone happy. The outdoor garden is a hidden gem where you can hold family gatherings and have a great time. They have great entertainment on weekends and provide the best in service. Malverne should be pleased to have such a great establishment!“
“I had received a gift card for this restaurant as a Christmas gift and decided to dine out and use the gift card that night. Although I had reserved a table, the wait time was lenghty. The staff were very pleasant and we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the Salmon with capers. It was perfectly done and quite delectable. I would order it again. Thank you. It was a nice dining experience.“
“Food in the back and grab a number. While you wait you can get cocktails or cheap beer and shots if you like or an underrated pint of Guinness at the bar. Staff never makes you feel unwanted which can happen at similar bars. Perfect neighborhood joint“
“Was there Monday for happy hour. Buy one get one free appetizers is a great deal, can't take leftovers with you, understandable. The Ahi tuna and fish tacos were large portions and delicious. Johanna the bartender was friendly and attentive. The gentleman (dougie?) who came on after her I can not say the same about, he was rude and unfriendly and talked poorly about the previous bartender and a waitress in front of customers.“
“I really didn't enjoy my time here between the bartender having an amazing hand at cocktails to them sure the food tasted fantastic! Hats to their chef. Natalia (or Natasha i apologize for forgetting) was the best. Definitely will return! Their pistachio-ricotta cake was my TOP fav!“
“I had the best time at my teacher's retirement party cause I got to see my friend, teacher, meet his family, give great speeches, and have fun. Plus, I they were showing pictures of all of us in his class plus photos of my teacher helping and teaching kids, and it was the best night of my life. So book any parties and birthdays to this restaurant and have a great time. Also, remember to bring kids cause it helps to care for friends and families with love, kindness, and friendship.Wheelchair accessibility: I did see 2 people in wheelchairs because it helps to care for people with disabilities no matter especially the elderly as well!!!“
