“We had a dinner party for my husband’s birthday. The service was impeccable. The staff were helpful, polite and genuinely nice to my guests. The Manager, Maria was exceptional. She made sure that we were well taken care of in every way. All our dietary restriction were met. The Owner, Dennis was very nice and accommodating from day one. He made sure we had a great time. Everyone of our guests complimented the food, very well seasoned and flavorful. Great drinks. The venue is beautiful and clean. Great space. I absolutely recommend Laterna for big or small events. “I have been going here for over 10 years. It’s a great place except now they put in new lighting, which just gives me a headache. It would be better if they were able to put a small maybe 6 inch curtain around the lights so that the light would shine only on the tables, but would not be in anyone’s eyes.“

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.“

“I really loved this place. It has a nice indoor and maybe an even nicer outdoor area. The staff was very kind too. I came here with a mission. 😎 I’m a huge fan of tripa so of course i tried the TRIPA taco and i chose ASADA too with steak. I really loved both, the textures, the flavours, everything was great. I loved the texture of the tripa tha most!!! Oh and the texture of the tortilla… wow, i loved that too. 😋“

“This place is amazing!!!! I went with my grandmarents for dinner and I orderd the Branzino Francese AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! The garlic linguine went beautifully with the lemon wine sauce and was filling too!

The sevice was fantasic as well, the waitress made sure our table was taken care of very well!

And dont even get me started on the ambiance! this is the perfect spot for a date night, family event, or even if your out with your friends!

All and all it is a very chill and fun place to hang out and get some great food! I reccomend it to all!“

“Excellent coffee shop on Long Island, come for the caffeine and stay for the community. We stopped by my mom’s favorite coffee shop mid-afternoon, because the family was trying to kill me with caffeine deprivation. The oat milk latte was carefully made and smooth and easy to drink. The interior is great, for a brief moment in time you are anywhere in the World with roll up garage doors, fooseball and a clean setting for evening entertainment. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting!“

The drinks were made well, but most importantly this bar has a very cool ambiance, and very much similar to a lounge experience.

“Very pretty wine bar in a historic house. Beautiful bar area which is where we were seated. Service was above and beyond. Very knowledgeable about the wines. Wine was excellent. Cheese board was also excellent excellent. We are vegetarian so asked if they could substitute more cheese instead of meat and they were more than willing. Very nice wine bar. Great experience.“

“You feel like family from the first time you walk through the door. I come into town on business every few months and I'm always welcomed with a big smile from everyone there. The food is fresh and full of flavor, the drinks are always amazing, and the service always top notch. I even brought my daughter here for her 21st birthday and the bartender Marissa took the time to ask her some questions and made her a special birthday cocktail. She also gave her the 101 on drinking safely and responsibly which is awesome coming from another woman. The seasonal drink menu is always a hit; I look forward to the changes each time and make it a point to try as many as possible! If I could give the staff more than 5 stars I would!“
