“I stumbled onto this place yesterday. I just recently started working around the corner. I entered the coffee shop and I was instantly greeted by such a sweet lady. I ordered the Nutella monster but explained to her that I don’t want it too and she made it absolutely delicious. Tasty and not too sweet at all so I didn’t feel too guilty for bending my diet haha! I also bought an avocado toast with a side of bacon….ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This morning, I went back….yup, I sure did. Today, I tried the hot Nutella latte (again, less sweet) and was perfect for me! “Best flat white I've had in NYC!

The story: I've traversed many bougie coffee spots across the city (for the record, many cannot make a proper flat white), over 40 different individual roaster/cafes at this point, and these guys shocked me.

I often bring my own china mug as it's more fun (and a higher chance of a proper flat white, volume-wise) and walked away surprised at Danny's knowledge... which then also came through the cup too.

Days later I'm sat in their manhattan store trying their espresso by Sean, it's just as good. And found out Danny serving in the 'lowest' position in the coffee cart (full respect) on a remote corner of LIC is in fact Deploy's humble owner.

Guys, thoroughly impressed. Thank you for finally giving NYC a flat white. Have had some incredible other cups in all the secret and well known spots. Yours wins, and not by a small margin.

For food/drink, I got their coconut jam bar and a double espresso, both were delicious, I do wish they served the espresso in a cup to stay in rather than a to-go cup, but that’s a minor detail.“

The staff is nice, polite and very skilled. Food and drinks are top quality with modest price. However, we want to tell you more; favourite food, among the others, are croissants, tart and all the deliciuos small cakes. Not to mention the excellent homemade ice creams. Nothing is left to chance, also our pet friends were super happy to taste the eccellent cookies. Special mention to Enzo who makes the best omelette in town. “I work in the Falchi Building at 31-00 47th Avenue in Long Island City, and I visit Petite Maman two or three times a week. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to stop for a coffee, pastry, or something delicious to bring back to the office.

The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, but what really sets Petite Maman apart is the outstanding customer service. In particular, William, who works behind the counter, is exceptional. He is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. William has a great way of making customers feel comfortable, and he is always happy to make suggestions when I'm trying to decide what to order.

The best part is that his recommendations are consistently spot-on. I've tried several things based on his suggestions, and I've never been disappointed. His enthusiasm for the food and his willingness to take the time to help customers really make a difference.

I can't say enough good things about William or Petite Maman. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful, and the people who work there clearly care about their customers and the experience they provide. If you work in the Falchi Building or are in the Long Island City area, I highly recommend stopping by Petite Maman. And if William is behind the counter, be sure to ask him what he recommends—you won't be disappointed!“

“This is the best cafe I've been to in NYC for fruit matcha lattes. So far I've had the strawberry matcha, and pink peach matcha, and both have been incredible. They use fresh fruit puree so it tastes fresh and unprocessed. I don't like my drinks sweetened at all, and the strawberry matcha was perfect for adding only natural sweetness to the latte.“

“Absolute 10/10 coffee, as Dutch people we don’t find regular filter coffee strong and so far in our week trip in US, Joe Coffee was the most delicious coffee ever. Quad yummy!

“I go to New York City once year: My co-workers and I take a group of theater students, we see 8 broadways shows, I get a *carrot cake donut* at the Doughnut Plant in Grand Central Station, and I’m a happy girl for one more year. I always have a good experience! I get my favorite, and then something new. Everything I’ve ever tried there has been phenomenal. (This time is was a coffee cake doughnut - it was inspired! SO good!) If Doughnut Plant moved its location to the moon, I’d probably just start taking my theater students there instead, just so I could get my yearly taste test at Doughnut Plant.“

I chatted with folks sitting next to me and they mentioned this happens frequently here. I was hoping to get some work done but this is not the place for that it seems. So good for hanging out but not for laptops. Was hoping it was going to be my get 1-2 hours of work done and then have wine place.“

“I was here a couple weeks ago. Very welcoming and friendly. I came here by myself sat at the bar. The attention to detail was there, the bartender was great with information on Japanese whiskey and cocktails. The dessert was blew my tastes bud away.“

“You can get delicious coffee almost anywhere in NYC, but Sweetleaf coffee is both delicious and unique. I love the Rocket Fuel, which is a cold brew, maple, milk concoction - never had anything like it elsewhere. The atmosphere is so relaxing with tables, a cozy couch and the record room in the back. The delicious selection of pastries are made in house (you can see the kitchen through a big window behind the laptop room). They do everything right at Sweetleaf!“

They have a nice backyard but you can’t have food back there. Bummer. They have a clean bathroom that is open to the public, and a lot of decent pastries and free water. Nice people work there too.“
