“Found this place online. We ordered chilaquiles con salsa verde , French toast & iced cafe de olla. The place gives a Mexican home style atmosphere. It’s a small space & got busy after 11:30am on a Saturday. We got seated quickly. The chilaquiles were shareable and had a mild spicy. The French Toast was MASSIVE and shareable. The crust was slightly too toasted making it a bit difficult to cut through. The arrangement of fruit was nice tho. They added mango which was a nice touch. The cafe con olla does well iced and definitely has the olla taste. Highly recommend the chilaquiles con steak y salsa verde. The staff were very friendly.“

“Easily the best coffee I've ever had. The pours are full, rich, and flavorful, and every espresso drink varietal I've tried (latte, cortado, flat white, macchiato) has had a perfectly balanced ratio. My only gripe is that the cart isn't here every day!“

The staff is nice, polite and very skilled. Food and drinks are top quality with modest price. However, we want to tell you more; favourite food, among the others, are croissants, tart and all the deliciuos small cakes. Not to mention the excellent homemade ice creams. Nothing is left to chance, also our pet friends were super happy to taste the eccellent cookies. Special mention to Enzo who makes the best omelette in town. “I work in the Falchi Building at 31-00 47th Avenue in Long Island City, and I visit Petite Maman two or three times a week. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to stop for a coffee, pastry, or something delicious to bring back to the office.

The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, but what really sets Petite Maman apart is the outstanding customer service. In particular, William, who works behind the counter, is exceptional. He is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. William has a great way of making customers feel comfortable, and he is always happy to make suggestions when I'm trying to decide what to order.

The best part is that his recommendations are consistently spot-on. I've tried several things based on his suggestions, and I've never been disappointed. His enthusiasm for the food and his willingness to take the time to help customers really make a difference.

I can't say enough good things about William or Petite Maman. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful, and the people who work there clearly care about their customers and the experience they provide. If you work in the Falchi Building or are in the Long Island City area, I highly recommend stopping by Petite Maman. And if William is behind the counter, be sure to ask him what he recommends—you won't be disappointed!“

“I stumbled onto this place yesterday. I just recently started working around the corner. I entered the coffee shop and I was instantly greeted by such a sweet lady. I ordered the Nutella monster but explained to her that I don’t want it too and she made it absolutely delicious. Tasty and not too sweet at all so I didn’t feel too guilty for bending my diet haha! I also bought an avocado toast with a side of bacon….ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This morning, I went back….yup, I sure did. Today, I tried the hot Nutella latte (again, less sweet) and was perfect for me! “This is the best cafe I've been to in NYC for fruit matcha lattes. So far I've had the strawberry matcha, and pink peach matcha, and both have been incredible. They use fresh fruit puree so it tastes fresh and unprocessed. I don't like my drinks sweetened at all, and the strawberry matcha was perfect for adding only natural sweetness to the latte.“

“Impossible to overstate how genuinely friendly and lovely the people are that work here, the community of customers that frequent, and how legitimately great their coffee is. I get their beans all the time and they have a great selection. They could be double the size and double as successful, I swear.“

“Multi-sweet is an INCREDIBLE cake shop and the owner Amber is so sweet! We ordered a two tier cake for our great gatsby themed wedding (matcha / yuzu and black sesame / taro) and WOW did she deliver! The decoration was incredible and it tasted even better!! So moist and fluffy, not too sweet but so flavorful. I'm very picky with my black sesame because most places don't get the potency right but this was one of the best cakes i've ever had! We tried 5-6 of their flavors and everything is delicious so you really cannot go wrong.

For everyone who's had a bad experience with frozen cakes it may likely due to not giving it enough time to defrost. When we first ordered an 8 inch cake for our friend's birthday lunch. We picked up the cake she made the night before at 11am and didn't give it enough time to defrost. However after we let the cake sit all day to defrost, the cake ended up being so delicious we decided to go with multisweet for our wedding.

If you do decide to cater multisweet for your wedding I would recommend having her come onsite with catering and bring the cake. We used uber courier and while the cake arrived in perfect shape with no problem from multisweet's end, there was stress coordinating with the uber courier the day of.

Ultimately all of our guests were raving about the cake & wanted to bring slices home, we'll definitely be ordering here many more times!“

“A nice place for a quick morning bite (there’s not a big selection of options though). Had a croissant 🥐 with ham, egg and cheese. That was quite a hearty start of the day. Coffee was good but nothing to brag about; however the freshly squeezed orange juice was delish. Service quick and friendly. Cheers“

“Absolute 10/10 coffee, as Dutch people we don’t find regular filter coffee strong and so far in our week trip in US, Joe Coffee was the most delicious coffee ever. Quad yummy!

“We are visiting from Miami and stumbled upon this hidden gem. We ordered blueberry pancakes , 2 egg platers and a breakfast sandwich and everything was a 10/10. I got myself a mushroom coffee which was interesting , very good as well. The place is small and homey. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They have a variety of options on the menu & they even have vegan protein powder to make shakes. The hash browns and eggs were delicious and were not greasy at all. Fast service . If you are looking for some good breakfast or quick sandwich / wrap / smoothies check them out .“

“Team is super friendly, coffee and wine are good. Fyi- WiFi will not work on laptop. Could get it on my phone. I chatted with folks sitting next to me and they mentioned this happens frequently here. I was hoping to get some work done but this is not the place for that it seems. So good for hanging out but not for laptops. Was hoping it was going to be my get 1-2 hours of work done and then have wine place.“

“I go to New York City once year: My co-workers and I take a group of theater students, we see 8 broadways shows, I get a *carrot cake donut* at the Doughnut Plant in Grand Central Station, and I’m a happy girl for one more year. I always have a good experience! I get my favorite, and then something new. Everything I’ve ever tried there has been phenomenal. (This time is was a coffee cake doughnut - it was inspired! SO good!) If Doughnut Plant moved its location to the moon, I’d probably just start taking my theater students there instead, just so I could get my yearly taste test at Doughnut Plant.“

“You can get delicious coffee almost anywhere in NYC, but Sweetleaf coffee is both delicious and unique. I love the Rocket Fuel, which is a cold brew, maple, milk concoction - never had anything like it elsewhere. The atmosphere is so relaxing with tables, a cozy couch and the record room in the back. The delicious selection of pastries are made in house (you can see the kitchen through a big window behind the laptop room). They do everything right at Sweetleaf!“

“This is hands down the best Starbucks in the neighborhood! They have the most professional staff who knows how to make a decent matcha (not a coffee drinker). I’ve seen how they arrange an efficient production line to process through the incredibly many customers with speed and grace. I love their matcha latte with oat milk, though the new flavors with berries and strawberries fall on the too sweet side (there are ways to adjust it). However, the recent membership and rewards system adjustments are making it less appealing and more expensive to all.“

This place made me happy and is one of my fav in the area!“

“Went in for a whisk stand! They have a neat selection of teas and tea ware available right now. You’re free to just walk right in without any appointment but the space does look like it was kind of newly opened to public! Hoping to see more in the future“

“Hosted a board game event in the afternoon here with a group of friends and had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout the night. They made everything feel easy from start to finish, which I really appreciated as the host. The venue itself was also perfect for a social gathering, with a fun and lively atmosphere while still being comfortable enough for everyone to hang out, play games, and enjoy dessert together.

And of course, the desserts were a huge highlight. The Golden Toast is still my personal favorite and something I always recommend. It’s warm, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and pairs so well with the ice cream and toppings. Definitely a must-try if it’s your first time at Spot.

I also tried their new chrysanthemum tea drink and really enjoyed it! It tasted super refreshing, light, and honestly kind of healthy in the best way. It was a nice balance after all the sweets and something I’d definitely order again.

“I only order a cortado. The staff was very helpful and patient. Looked like they had a beautiful back patio. The reason for my 2 stars is that while my hot drink was tasty, it was cold. It appeared that they didn't heat the milk. They just steamed cold milk and poured it in without it being even warm. Ask them to make sure to heat up the milk before pouring.“
