“Sawada coffee has a soft spot for me because I’ve been to the Chicago location a few times before and loved it. This NY one is identical and it’s even located inside of an Au Cheval restaurant (might be hard to find at first but walk inside the restaurant).
Coffee wise I really enjoyed the strong drip. The flavors are incredible and it does remind me very much of the double shot strong coffees in Tokyo.
My only complaint was the baristas were a bit slow the day I came and of course the pricing is a bit high so 4/5 instead of 5/5 but worth a try for sure!“

“Restaurant waiter had the kitchen make everything a sharable size for our prix fixe menu selections. Very accommodating. He also went above and beyond to make sure the sauce for the suckling pig dish I chose didn't use any beef due to my allergy. Unfortunately, it did and we had to pick something else ? But whyyy if it's a pork dish? I really wanted to try that dish. Everything else was tasty, and flavors were perfectly balanced. Just a few notes... A bit too much fennel on the salmon dish, the striped bass was a tiny bit over cooked, maybe make the skin crispy to take away the "fishy" taste to level up the dish a bit and the hazelnut dessert had way too much cream overpowering the chocolate and other flavors. Will certainly be back to try out other things.“

“Got the pumpkin bun $1.75 and the da bao $2.25. pumpkin bun was light, fluffy, sweet with a soft filling inside. Da bao was also fluffy with a meat center of ground chicken, a quail egg, and a piece of sausage. The bun though is kinda thick. Pumpkin bun 7.5/10. Da bao 7.7/10.“

The croissants with the turkey sausage egg and cheese. Please use the everything croissant if you like flavor and texture. Ask for hot sauce if you don’t mind mind everything pop and the eggs were perfect. Sigh thank us later!!
I had a lovely experience here, Adele and the owner did a great job in making us feel comfortable and welcomed. Letting us take our time and answering our questions!!“

“I have to shout out this restaurant and the lady here. I passed by the shopping mall after meetings and bought some items, but the bag broke right in front of this store because of the pouring rain. I didn’t have an umbrella and felt super embarrassed. I picked up all the stuff and went into the store. I asked the lady if I could buy a bag, and she gave me a plastic bag for free.
I know it looks like a homeless style, but I just carried it home. Muscle ? exercise ??? I couldn’t care much on the way anymore at that point. Luckily, I didn’t run into any exes while I was carrying that heavy bag with the wet hair???
I believe the food and service are great if the staff can treat a stranger nicely like this. Thanks.
I will come back to try the food here. The cheesecake looks great!“

“Stepped in quickly for a cold brew. I really enjoy the flavor of the cold brew, it's smooth and not acidic. I'm not a connoisseur but I can really taste the flavors of the coffee.
The shop itself was small but cute. There were tables and it was busy when I went. The staff seemed nice. I only stepped in for a short bit but will probably come back because the coffee was good and the atmosphere was nice.“

“I am obsessed with coffee and yoga and always try to find prime spots. This is one of them. Absolutely fantastic across the board! The coffee is delicious and nuanced; the service and conversation excellent; Rohith, my barista was professional, friendly and a bevy of information and coffee trivia; the space is beautifully curated with great music and art; and a back patio/outdoor oasis to boot. Go to this gem!“

“I always have the most amazing time at Musette. I’ve been here twice now and the location is ideal. It reminds me of a chic wine bar in France that was placed in Harlem; the dissonance is beautiful and works together perfectly. It’s definitely a sight to behold. As you walk in the atmosphere is warm and the staff is welcoming. The wine options are endless & I’ve never been given a wine suggestion that I did not appreciate. The Hummus board & salmon flatbread are my favs! Literal must haves ?. I’m happy to have found this gem, I’ll be back!“

“I had just finished a quick reading session at a nearby park when I happened across a delectable curated confection produced by the aforementioned establishment. It was very delicious and it came with a magnificent wooden spoon to boot. In addition, the packaging of said product was quite tasteful. Highly recommend trying it for yourself.“

“Delicious coffee that runs ($6/sm cold brew) expensive. That’s pretty much the price anywhere in this neighborhood so don’t bust your chops looking for anything cheaper.
The shop is swanky though and has a selection of candles, dried flowers, soaps, and clothing items.
Big lines on weekends because they serve breakfast sandwiches. Skip it on weekend for just your coffee. On a weekday usually no lines so coffee is quick.“

“I love this place!!! All the donuts are made in-house and the staff is super friendly and efficient. It’s more more take away but there are about a dozen stools if you want to sit.
Vegetarian options: Vegan donuts, nut free… egg sandwiches. Small menu but all made here.“

“Great service and friendly staff. Went with family after week of trying to get reservation. The apps were delicious but the main course didn't follow. We ordered 2 vegetarian curries, one was paneer which was disappointing and second Achari Aloo, which was good. The Daal Bungalow with rice and roti was good combo. Overall the experience and the ambience was great but the food selection and taste didn't hold the high standard. Definately worth visiting if you're able to get a reservation.“

“Malaparte is an absolute gem in NYC! The vibe is authentic, cosy and rustic, making it the perfect spot to escape on a rainy, stormy night. The pasta is phenomenal—especially the pesto rigatoni, which is hands down one of the best we've ever had. The service was lovely and attentive. If you're looking for a truly authentic Italian experience in a charming setting, Malaparte is the place to be. Can't wait to return!
Vegetarian options: Three/four veggie options in selection of 8 pastas - very good for NYC“

“We had cocktails at Split Eights on two different nights and I adore this bar! Adore it! I honestly can't recommend it enough. I feel horrible for not remembering their name but the person who wears glasses is super friendly and accommodating. The vibe, music and bar menu make for a special place indeed. The clever idea of having a Bartender's choice where the customer picks the alcohol and then whether it's spirit forward or not is brilliant! I wish more bars offered this option, because it makes sense and is welcoming. If someone came to your house you would do the same, so why not at a bar.“

“This is not your typical, dining experience. Very homey, cozy, and friendly. People around this block are sweet, elderly, and just simple New Yorkers! And don’t get me started on the food! After most therapy sessions I had, I HAD to get breakfast from this shop. The bacon egg and cheese, on a hero, after a busy morning?? My heart was happy. Service is nice, workers are nice and very quick with your food! Although when they’re busy, THEY'RE BUSY. Everyone who goes to this store knows how busy and hard-working they are. I used to come here every morning as well with my mom before she went to work. Atmosphere is nice! Lots of nice people. Recommend to any person, mostly New Yorkers, and people who know the city. Quality 10/10! ⭐️
Ps,
pricing is so cheap! 10-20 dollars for four items! 2 home fries, a chorizo burrito, and a bacon egg and cheese on a hero!
Kid-friendliness: just very welcoming! homey, small cute shop!“

“I’m a tea lover- hate coffee- and specifically look for iced tea. It’s incredibly hard to find a cafe that offers a good selection of iced teas that aren’t overly sweetened, so when I found Whistle & Fizz a year ago, I was immediately in love. They have unique drinks, a great space, good prices, and a wonderful staff. I introduced everyone in my office to W&F and at any giving day, at least one person in the office has a cup at their desk. Check them out!“

“The flavor of this restaurant is actually not that far from what I had in China, and it's fairly authentic.“
“The menu at Gaonnuri is a delightful blend of traditional Korean flavors with a modern twist. I started with the Seafood pancake, which was crispy on the outside and packed with fresh, flavorful seafood. For the main course, I opted for the Premium Set, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The meat was tender and succulent, and the seasoning was spot on. The attention to detail in both the presentation and the preparation of the dishes is truly impressive. Each plate was a work of art, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I also appreciated the excellent service provided by William & his colleague - thus, complimenting the overall experience. The ambiance at Gaonnuri is sophisticated yet inviting, making it a perfect spot for both special occasions and casual dinners. The combination of the stunning views, exquisite food, and impeccable service creates a dining experience that is second to none“
