Based on the reviews, Mabu is a go-to Cha Chan Tang in Chinatown with delicious food and an expansive menu. The decor is beautiful and unique, with authentic Hong Kong style and callbacks to the 1980s and 1990s. The atmosphere is nice, cool, and traditional. Food is solid and well-portioned, with HK classics like egg beef and broccoli rice, egg shrimp over rice, fish balls, chicken soup, bbq pork over rice, and chop suey. The mango dessert is good, though watery and a small portion. The Hong Kong milk tea is tasteless and feels watered down. Service gets slow during peak times, but paying with cash gives an 8% discount. Must try the underrated desserts and new menu with rice dishes and stir-fried noodles.
