“Best tasting wedding cake I have ever had! Flowers and cake topper are from other vendors. The cake was truly a sight to behold, all of it edible and delicious! The communication was not the smoothest but you really cannot beat the quality of the cake.“
“A friend and I enjoyed our visit here, very clean place, opened for dinner at 5:30 with a line out the door. Apparently reservations are necessary, but a few spots are definitely available at the bar for walk ins. My friend and I chose the walk in route and greatly enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The biscuits were just ok, which was a bit of a let down. I am still in search of the best biscuit in nyc and refuse to place it here or with maison/jacob’s pickles.“
“9.0/10 Finally tried New York-style bagels at Absolute Bagels and I can confidently say that these are absolutely the best bagels I've ever had. J. Kenji Lopez-Alt raves about this spot, so it was a must-visit during my stay from Orange County. My boyfriend and I got: Blueberry Cream Cheese on Egg Bagel $5.50 | Bacon & Eggs on Everything Bagel $6.95 Cheese +50¢ | Toasted +10¢ Each. Both were amazing, couldn't pick a favorite. I'm a bit ashamed to say that all the many times I've visited New York, this was my first time trying NY bagels from the place itself. Their bagels have a thin, shiny, crackly crust. When you bite into it, it's dense and chewy but tender and easy to bite through, the perfect texture. The Egg Bagel was amazing and Blueberry Cream Cheese was rich and fruity. The Everything Bagel was a flavor bomb with its malty base and generous toppings. The bacon, eggs and cheese inside complemented the bagel well. These might be some of the best eggs I've ever had, never seen something like this inside a bagel or sandwich before. They're possibly scrambled and then baked or steamed, which reminded me of Korean steamed eggs (gyeran-jjim). I learned that a quality bagel shouldn't need toasting; its freshness should ensure crispness and chewiness. Next time, I'll resist the urge to toast and enjoy them in their pure form. The bagels are huge, I saved half for the next day, while my boyfriend managed to devour his in one go. These are better than any bagel I've ever had in Socal, but maybe I haven't had that many. The only other bagel I had time to try was Bagel co in North Bergen, NJ and these were so much better. I wish I could find bagels like these in LA OC. Though I didn't spot any specific sustainability practices or see mention of them, I hope Absolute Bagels considers eco-friendly initiatives in the future. They're located on a main busy street in Manhattan Valley, Upper West Side. I took the train and walked a few blocks to get here. If you drive here, I'm not too sure about parking but looks like there's just paid metered street parking. The interior is casual, no-frills, small, no inside or outside seating, just a grab-and-go type of spot, a hole in the wall. Service efficient, albeit minimal. Being cash-only, there's a Chase Bank nearby for convenience. I came on a Saturday around 10:30 AM and was surprised by the short wait time, only 15 minutes. They open early for the breakfast crowd. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and big portions.“
“I got the Lemon Croffin and Colored Croissant, and the basic bread had an excellent texture - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Lemon Croffin was a perfect match, with the tangy lemon complementing the bread beautifully. It would be even better if they had indoor seating in addition to the patio. I'm looking forward to coming back when it's warmer outside. :)“
“I normally recommend this bakery to everyone. However, yesterday morning I went to your Brooklyn location to bring home bombalones for family. This morning the strawberry on top on one is literally covered in mold. This is absolutely unacceptable! Unfortunately I'm already back out of state so I can't even come back to get an exchange. I spent around $75 yesterday.... and I get MOLDY food.“
“I have recommend Crumbly to patients when they ask where to go after their appointment. Everything I have tried, I have loved so far. They are my go to place before I go into work.It makes it even better that they are so nice. I can keep going, everything just taste so good.I got a Fudge Brownie this morning ?“
“I absolutely love these cookies. The line was down the block on a nice fall Saturday afternoon but it moved so fast. 15 minutes from start to finish. Amazing cookies, by far the most unique chocolate chip cookie. They are massive, 1 cookie is like having a large piece of cake with icing. They are not the “grab a handful” type of cookies. They are baked crisp on the outside and gooey melty in the middle- all the time every time! Extremely worth it!!“
“I bought a sandwich and some canele in ubereats. They gave me a written note for the missing canele(since they ran out of it), tell me to refund, and even added other pastries in bag for compensation…never seen a better service in my whole life, most importantly everything tasted AMAZING!!They had just earn themselves a new costumer, this made my day, thank you so much.“
“THE. BEST. Almond croissant I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Europe and all that but this??? Unlike any other croissant. Saying that I highly recommend this is an understatement. Was also graced with beautiful music from a quartet outside on a Sunday around noon.“
“Great little coffee shop. Delicious macchiato. Staff was friendly, and informative. They make all their syrups in house. Not a lot of seating. Music was great and not too loud. They have some delicious pastries. Coffee presentation was average, but the flavor was perfect.“
“My daughter, my child always finds the best places to take her mama to. And babeee these donuts along with the customer service were definitely a win for me. I am vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian ;) and I chose from the vegan section and when I tell you the pumpkin glaze donut and the vegan plain donut warmed up for less than 50 seconds in a microwave were the best thing my hour glass figure didn’t need, I am not lying. These donuts were simply delicious, so delicious imma get the heck outta the city and not come back to it for atleast 2 years. lol. There isn’t anyway I can always have these donuts at my finger tips. But hands down this is a must try and definitely recommended establishment one has to visit any time in the New York area! Now, off to the gym, omg!“
“Visited The Pastry Box this weekend, and I loved it! This spot has been on my list for a while, and it was definitely worth the visit. We only tried the doughnuts, but they were so good, definitely up there for my favorite NYC doughnuts. I loved the interesting flavors (rhubarb and tarragon, and the flavors rotate which is fun). Will definitely go back to try their other baked goods. We also met the owner who was really lovely. Highly recommend!“
“The best bagel sandwiches around are found here. Service is a little slow but you also aren't hurried on out of the shop and you get the attention you want. There's nothing like stepping into the store and being transported back in time.Either get half a dozen bagels for home or trust them to get the best bagel lox cream cheese you can imagine.“
“We got a fresh batch of spongecake. It was delicious. Not too sweet and not too stale. Nothing better than fresh spongecakes. Also it's only 1$ for 1 original spongecake. Try to go here before 2, because that is when they make the cakes fresh. The service was also very good.“
“Really great sourdough baguette, I'm still thinking about it! I got the tahini spread and it went well with the baguette. My friend got the Mediterranean quiche which was vegetarian and had zucchini, feta, tomato, and onions. She loved it! They are very sweet even though we can in and out 30 mins before closing and they didn't have many other customers. It's a warm homely space and smells delicious!“
“I went this place after work and hit the spot. We had a delicious hot chocolate like I have not tried anywhere else, super tasty and delicious.m, it doesn’t need more sugar. The maple cruller was delicious but the passion fruit was exotic delicious and unique ! The staff very friendly they make you feel at home ! I loved the place and I will definitely go back!“
“Lovely, compact Scandi bakery with a small market in the back with selection of Haribo licorice and more.We ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich, cardamom bun, and salmon focaccia. When I come back, I’m definitely going to order the breakfast sandwich with a perfect brioche bun and thick multi-herb green aioli/sauce as the bottom layer! This was the most memorable of the items. Salmon was generously applied to the focaccia along with thick chive cream cheese, but the flavor combination wasn’t quite as unique in the lox bagel capital of the world. The cardamom bun could benefit from, well, more cardamom. And I fully admit that I’m not being quite fair on this front after having tasted the cardamom buns at Juno Bakery in Copenhagen, which are laced with so much freshly ground cardamom throughout that the scent fills the surrounding neighborhood. If you’ve tasted these buns, Smor’s will underwhelm you, but they are definitely one of the best in NYC.“
“The spot to stop at when in New York. The consistency of this sponge cake is remarkable. $1 for original and $1.25 for flavored..there is a sponge cake with chocolate in it and it just bursts with flavor. It taste authentic just like the ones from Hong Kong ??. This shop is off the main street and if you don’t see the sign you’d walk right past. The Best Sponge Cakes in New York.It is like a sterile cafeteria in here and clean. Go early in the morning when all the flavors are out. Later in the evening almost everything is almost gone. Check it out and you’ll be glad you did.“
“What a treat this place is! I was working a gig in the area for 5 days and I came here every morning!! I got the ham and cheese croissant the first day and I was hooked. MAN, is that thing GOOD!!! So yummy. I also tried the egg sandwich on focaccia, which was delicious. And I tried two of their cookies, I very highly recommend the triple chocolate. *chefs kiss*. I bought half a loaf of sourdough to take home as well. The only item I had that I didn't care for was the orange cream brioche. Everything else was a winner!“
“Very warm and cosy ambience & fantastic service. The bread was insanely delicious (it won best baguette in nyc competition) and breakfast experience was phenomenal. Be mindful — you have to order first and then find available table; there’s also outdoor seating. Otherwise cannot recommend this place enough :)“
“Came here to get a light snack for dessert and there are interesting sweets they have for display. I just wanted something conventional so I chose a chocolate fudge & peanut butter cake. Don't let the modest size of this slice if cake fool you, it filled me up proper, maybe because I had this after a meal but the cake itself was so tasty I had to endure finishing the rest of this because I did not want to waste this. Maybe this would have been best as a standalone snack but it was worth getting. I'll revisit again soon.“
“I got the almond bun and Americano, and half a loaf of bread. The waiter put two almond buns on my tab and when I mentioned I had only one towards the end, they behaved as if I made a mistake! Aside from poor service, it’s a nice place and the quality of the bread and pastries is fine!“
“Before you go here you should know you can only buy 3 bagels w/ a side (butter, cream cheese, etc) for $12( you cant buy a singular bagel! There’s no bacon, egg bagels or anything like that! The only thing I didn’t like is that you had to cut the bagel open yourself with a wooden knife & put your cream cheese inside & the whole point of buying a bagel sandwich is that you don’t have to make it yourself ( if your on the go or anything) and here you have to, which I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point of the shop. But I might as well buy a 12 pack of bagels & butter at the store for less than $12 and do it at home because it’s the same thing.Anyways I stumbled upon this place & would definitely visit again because the bagels were delicious & crunchy! There was a line but it went super fast because all they do it throw the bagels in the bag & give you your side.“
“It doesn't matter if you have to way a bot to get your hands in this amazing cloud filled with deliciousness!!!!! Get the pork and pork with pineapple... Then go back and get 6 so you can bring some home. There's a special window for cash so if you see a line outside just make sure is the right one. Here, cash is king.“
“woke up with a craving for the perfect blueberry muffin and Rex delivered. super soft, fruit forward muffin with a perfectly crusted top, sprinkled with sugar. so so good. they also make a proper cappuccino and have great ambiance with pleasant music, nyt copies, and books to peruse. I will definitely be coming back for a lil Saturday morning outing one of these days.“
“This cafe is a lovely escape from the mean streets of the city. Wonderful desserts and beverages. However, it can be very crowded. That isn't a bad thing, you just need to be prepared for the crowds at certain times. We love going here and having tea and hot chocolate.“
“4.4 stars. Reasonably priced boxed take to take home stuffed buns. The bun is very light and fluffy. The red roast pork filling was a good amount and the taste was pretty good. We liked the smaller, slightly sweet, baked, 8-to-a-box, red roast pork buns better because of the higher meat to bun ratio. I tried the salted egg custard bun for the first time and it was pretty good. Comparable to Go Believe Bakery on Grand, which always has a consistent amount of meat but less airy bun.“
“Went here last January on a friend's recommendation, mostly just for the sake of trying. Asked the server which cookie was the best-seller, and they recommended the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie. It was huge! I was initially planning on eating only half of it take the rest home, but it was soon good that I finished it all without leaving the store! Would highly recommend!“
“First and foremost, their pastries are wonderful! Came in the morning when everything was well stocked. They had a variety of bomboloni (Italian fried doughnuts), croissants, cookies and muffins. They had at least 3 different flavors of bomboloinis (orange spritz, blueberry/raspberry, strawberry cream) and at least 4 type of croissants (butter, everything, basil cream cheese, espresso). There were even more but I've forgotten. I got two sweet and two savory ones plus an Americano. The total was $28 which in my opinion is a decent price for NYC. I saw a board outside that a breakfast sandwich and drip coffee combo is $9. Other than what's displayed, they also have a food menu. I noticed someone ordered an everything croissant with egg and salmon or prosciutto. It looked really good so I will definitely be going back for that. They have a large space. There are cozy seats and tables at the front. The back has plenty of tables and chairs. They even have a long bar table with high chairs against the wall opposite their open kitchen. They also placed a few tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Most importantly, they have one clean handicap assessable restroom. Next to that there is a storage area that they tried to shield with trees. I appreciate they try to make the space pretty and clean.“
“I enjoyed the avocado toast, with two fried eggs (extra) (they don't do poached). Nothing fancy, nothing catchy. When it came out I prejudged and was thinking, oh hmm, this might not be good. But overall the avocado and the eggs were good enough for a 4⭐, and I think the two things that helped to push it over the edge to 5⭐ were the bread and the pickled peppers. In particular the pickled peppers added a little bit of sweetness and a little kick. Pleasant surprise.Matcha latte was reasonable and not remarkable -- lacking in latte art but slightly making up for it in portion. Also, could have been sifted/whisked some more because there were lumpy chunks at the bottom. Nevertheless I won't let this pull down the 5⭐ for food.~10am on a rainy Sunday morning but the place was almost full. And there was a robust pickup / delivery business.“
“Stopped by and got the cold brew with cherry syrup. Omg game changer. Literally no one is offering cherry syrup and I believe Patent’s housemade. The cold brew was so divine with it. Jonathan was my barista and was warm and inviting. Always loved coming here in the past. I’m happy I rediscovered it again.“
“We had ordered a baby shower cake. The base was a Jaffa cake with butter cream frosting. The cake was fantastic in the way it looked and the taste. The service was excellent. Ms. Marie is a talented artist. Would highly recommend this place!“
“Levine Bakery is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of NYC! Their cookies are like big bites of heaven - crispy on the outside, yet oh-so-soft on the inside. With each bite, you're transported to a world of decadence and delight. Give the other delish baked items a try as well! If you're in the mood for a sweet escape, Levine Bakery is the place to be!“
“This is a store specializing in delicious mousse. My recommendation is the passion fruit flavor.Other flavors tend to be sweeter, but the passion fruit flavor is sweet and sour, and when eaten with other flavors, it brings out the goodness of the other flavors. The passion fruit flavor was the least I expected before I bought it, but now it's a must buy.Overall, the texture was good and it was like eating a mousse cake from a high-end restaurant. Considering that, I think it's a pretty cheap price.I've only purchased take-out items, but there is an eat-in area, and I feel like the customer base is mostly cute women. It was never crowded, giving the impression that it was a hidden gem of a sweets shop. It's in East Harlem, so I'm hesitant to go there, but I feel like Japanese tourists can walk up to East 100th without worrying. This is my favorite sweets specialty store.A mousse with a smooth texture.I especially recommend the passion fruit flavor. When eaten with other flavors, the other flavors stand out even more.“
“A delicious cookie spot! I finally caved and tried one. It is tasty, crunchy and soft and chocolatey as a good cookie should be. Honestly, for the city and the size of it, the price is okay. I definitely enjoyed it and understand why it is so cherished. I enjoyed mine in the park.“
“A hidden gem in Tribeca and hands down one of the top bakeries in NYC!We tried sicilian pistachio ($7.5) and Kouign-Amann (caramelized croissant, $5.5). Pistachio croissant was the best one I have ever had in the city. It was so buttery and flaky. It is true that they are slightly more expensive than other bakeries, but I highly recommend trying their pistachio croissant. you won't regret“
“A delight. While traveling in New York, we were looking for a good bagel and we were not disappointed. We had 3 different recipes and they were all very good. Generous and delicious, we can only recommend it. If you want to eat a good bagel, don't hesitate and go to them. Little extra, there is a park just behind with lots of benches, we ate there, it was really pleasant.“
“Eine tolle Bäckerei im französischem Stil, die auch Sitzmöglichkeiten anbieten (man kann auch sehr gut frühstücken) und die eine Spezialität anbieten: das Suprême, ein Croissant mit einer Füllung. Wir haben das Croissant mit einer Pistazienfüllung genommen und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Füllung verteilt sich in dem kompletten Croissant und schmeckt echt fantastisch.“
“A damn good burger! ? Seriously I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life and burgers happen to be my favorite food but this all American cheeseburger from @cake_burgers has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I mean from the top to the bottom the soft, perfectly toasted brioche bun, to the perfectly crisp and fresh lettuce and tomatoes and melty cheese, and their special burger sauce?! Whenever a restaurant has a special sauce I have to try it because I have high expectations and this one exceeded it. The grilled onions made it even better! The meat was perfectly cooked and so juicy. It was like my dream burger had finally come to fruition. I am also a big sweet potato fries lover and they make the PERFECT sweet potato fries, everything is balanced so nicely from seasoning to texture. It’s no surprise the chef has past experience working at Michelin star restaurants and even received compliments from THE Anthony Bourdain!!!! I can’t wait to come back and try their specialty cakes and other desserts! My new favorite burger joint ??Plus the owners are so sweet and kind and provide amazing service and fun and welcoming atmosphere!“
“We've been coming to Eileen's for over a decade now and it's our favorite cheesecake in the city. Today while doing a Cheesecake Crawl for family in town, we stopped and got several minis and Myra greeted us with a big smile and welcome. She was so nice and sweet and she made sure we tried some dark chocolate chip cookies (thank you!).“
“The best cookies ever, me & my sister were in new york for her birthday & we were looking for a dessert place after having an amazing dinner. This place was down the street from where we ate from, we came in & there was 1 lady working bc it was so late, she was the sweetest & gave us extra cookies. THEY TASTE THE BEST. best cookies i’ve ever had no lie.“
“I went to the Crumbly Cafe & Bakery on Second Avenue this week for the first time. I ordered the feta and spinach bistro and it was one of the best baked goods I've had in a very long time. I was so impressed that I just placed an on-line order for 8 different items to try and can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. In addition, the wonderfully talented baker, Ms. Miriam and her lovely daughter, Mia, could not have been nicer and more welcoming. It will definitely be a favorite and am so glad of the new discovery!“
“Came here for brunch and it was such a delight. Our waiter had the perfect amount of helpful to leaving us alone balance. The food was delicious. There was a leek vinaigrette dish with hazelnuts and ricotta (I think). It’s an absolute must try.. we ordered another portion it was so good and I ate it with the onion bun which went really well with it. Also the pastries were all great. Mu friends loved the orange almond croissant. I had the tuna Niçoise salad - very tasty and fresh. I tried a bite of the burger and it might be the best bite of burger I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge burger fan usually as I find the patties not to be well seasoned or that flavorful. This one was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth.I have no complaint or suggestion. Just a fantastic place.“
“Just moved to the area and Charlotte Cafe was an incredible surprise. An authentic italian experience, with cornettos (croissants) the same as the one you would get in Bologna. The staff is very friendly and professional. It would be amazing if they added vegan cornettos as well.“
“Quaint little neighborhood cafe with real French pastries and staff. The lady helping us was super sweet and kind. The plain croissant, choux and mille feuille were all beyond amazing. They had a baking class going on in the back on a Sunday morning. Everything was perfect.“
“not to miss!it’s a lovely and well-located space. food was great (i only tried the salmon pretzel and it was delicious), coffee was fantastic.the only downside is that it gets very packed and there’s way too little sitting space, so don’t count on eating in:)“
“I have been craving sesame-flavored things, so I had to go here when I saw that it has sesame ice cream. It was good--not too sweet, a good combination of sweet and savory, and subtly fragrant. Although I stopped tasting it after eating it for a while. It did feel expensive for a scoop of ice cream on a cone ($6.30) but at least the scoop was pretty big. There are a lot of cool flavors so I hope to go back sometime.“

“After a late night at the gym my fiancè promise to take me here due to it having the best and fresh cookies. So we went and I loved it honestly their cookies was a perfect size with such a refreshing and warm bite. I love it here I have a new favorite cookies spot and I want to let the world know these cookies are amazing, even since we brought 6 the cookies was still soft and taste fresh for the next two days.Sorry for the photo it was the only one I had the cookie was super good it was the maple cream cookie sandwich“
“Lady Wong Pastry & Cakes offers a sweet escape! Clean seating though it’s tight. First-timers may need staff guidance due to extensive flavor choices. Seasonal flavors vary. Tried Baked Ube Rice Cake - tasty but tricky to cut. A delightful treat worth exploring.☺️“
